HP Spectre x360 13.5 & Spectre x360 16 laptops launched officially: Report

HP has launched the next two in the Spectre x360 series of laptops as x360 13.5 and x360 16 have gone official. Although x360 13.5 is the same laptop in many ways, HP has decided to ditch the non-x360 Spectre 13 and merged it into x360 13.5. It has got a new design which includes softer edges and less bling.

The laptop has been redesigned from scratch and has new updated hardware. Although the OLED panel and aspect ratio is the same it is now the world’s first 13.5-inch convertible laptop PC with a 5MP camera. The camera gives clicks the same as the quality of the 16MP one and has features like auto-framing, appearance filter, AI noise removal, and backlight adjustment.

The display options for 13.5-inch models include Full HD LCD and 3K OLED. HD model comes with HP’s privacy feature Sure View Reflect whereas the OLED variant has HDR 500, Anti-reflective properties, True Black certification, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.

It is powered by 12th Gen Core i7-1255U and Core i5-1235U with Intel Evo for the rest of the hardware. For graphics, there is Iris Xe and the laptop comes with up to 32GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 2TB of Gen 4 PCIe NVMe for storage. Thermals have been improved by equipping ut with a new sLCP+YTB fan design with 122 blades. It comes with in-bag detection 2.0 which prevents the laptop from waking up while in transit.

The device comes with HP MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen which can stick to the Spectre x360 13.5’s display on the right side for quick access. Wake on Touch is also available.

HP Spectre x360 16: Specs & Features

Spectre x360 16 has a 16-inch display with a 16:10 touch-responsive Corning Gorilla Glass display. There are 2 options for display- 3072×1920 IPS 400 nits and 3840X2400 OLED 400 nits. It runs Windows 11 Home/Pro and has support for HP Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen support.

The display is complemented by quad B&O speakers and the device packs an 83Whr battery, Intel Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and a variety of port options. It is powered by Intel Alder Lake-based Core i7-12700H or Core i5-1260P along with Iris Xe iGPU or Arc A370M dGPU and up to 32GB DDR4 RAM and up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

HP Spectre x360 13.5 & 16: Price & Availability

HP Spectre x360 13.5 can be ordered today from HP.com and its price starts at USD 1249. It will also be available via BestBuy.com and Best Buy offline stores.

HP Spectre x2560 16 will be available starting at USD 1650.
