It runs within the latest Huawei Watch GT2 and FreeBuds 3 earphones. Huawei Kirin A1 is equipped with an advanced Bluetooth 5.1 and BLE 5.1 standards. Thanks to this, there should be lower power consumption. Incidentally, Huawei Watch GT 2018, which was running on a native chip also had a good battery life.

Huawei also bets big on its in-house technologies. For instance, the new chip is based on a dual-channel synchronous transmission, which should offer an enhanced latency and power consumption. Then there are the preloaded Bluetooth Ultra HD codecs, which claims to deliver a maximum bandwidth of 6.5 Mbps, in “perfect scenarios”. Moreover, it can apparently release Bluetooth ultra HD audio up to 2.3 Mbps for an optimal sound experience.
