Huawei P40 series might have caught most eyes but Watch 2e and Sound X wireless speaker were equally interesting products unveiled during the online launch event. The Huawei Watch GT 2e smartwatch’s marquee feature is its claimed 14 days battery life and it also has a 100 fitness modes.
Huawei Watch GT 2e features, specifications
Huawei continues with circular dial in the Watch GT 2e but has ensured that it appears sportier than the Huawei Watch GT 2 (review). The smartwatch has crown-shaped physical buttons on the side and a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 454×454 pixels resolution.
There’s a magnetic thimble port for charging as the wearable device ships with a proprietary charger. The watch has 4GB of storage onboard for music.

The Huawei Watch GT 2e gets a heart rate sensor and a SpO2 sensor to monitor oxygen levels in blood. While the Watch is made of stainless steel, Huawei is shipping it with TPU wrist bands. The watch carries a 5ATM certification which means it can be taken for a swim or a shower.
There are about 100 fitness modes including 15 professional workout modes and the remaining 85 are custom workout modes. The 15 professional workout modes include cycling, triathlon, outdoor running, indoor cycling, indoor running, elliptical, pool swimming, rowing machine, open water swimming, indoor walking, trail running, free training, and hiking. The Huawei Watch GT 2e also offers real-time notifications for calls & messages.
Huawei Watch GT 2e: Price and Availability
The Huawei Watch GT 2e is priced at EUR 199 which roughly translates to Rs 16,400. Huawei will make this watch available in Europe in April 2020.
Huawei Sound X wireless features, specifications
Huawei also unveiled Sound X wireless speaker, which was made in collaboration with French audio company Devialet and features its patented Active Matching (SAM) signal-processing and Push-Push speaker design.
Huawei Sound X speaker includes Devialet Dual Woofers (60W) and 6 full-range drivers that pump 360-degree Hi-Res audio. Huawei has designed the Sound X wireless speaker to interact without smart devices seamlessly. It supports Huawei Share which enables quick wireless connection through NFC or Bluetooth.

The Huawei Sound X wireless speaker has a cylindrical shape with a glossy plastic top and a fabric base. It weighs 3.5kg which makes it heavier than Apple’s HomePod. The speaker has 512MB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage.
