Hyundai is preparing to unveil the 2025 model of the Hyundai Creta EV in January. With the launch just weeks away, the vehicle was recently seen in Pune, where it was undergoing homologation testing by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). The 2025 Hyundai Creta EV represents a significant advancement in the company’s efforts to diversify its vehicle lineup in the Indian market. Recently leaked spy shots have shown that the new EV will maintain a design and some features similar to its internal combustion engine (ICE) version, while also introducing updates that set it apart. These images were shared by automotive enthusiast Mihir Patel, and additional details about the EV have since emerged courtesy Rushlane report.

Hyundai Creta EV 2025: Details

Recent spy shots have emerged, indicating that the interior design closely resembles that of the ICE Creta variant, albeit with some modifications. Notably, a new circular three-spoke steering wheel has been introduced, replacing the flat-bottom design found in the petrol and diesel versions. Additionally, the seats feature exclusive CRETA electric badging, suggesting a distinct identity for this model.
The Creta EV is equipped with two 10.25-inch displays for infotainment, along with high-end features such as an instrument console, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, front ventilated seats, and an electric parking brake with auto hold functionality. The gear selector is designed as a stalk-mounted unit, while a rotary dial is utilized for selecting traction control modes.
The Creta EV is equipped with leatherette seating, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and wireless smartphone charging capabilities. It also includes cruise control, keyless entry, and rear air conditioning vents with USB charging ports. Safety enhancements feature six airbags, electronic stability control, hill start assist, rear parking sensors, cameras, and a complete suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

The specifications of the electric vehicle have yet to be officially verified; however, sources indicate that it will feature a 45kWh battery pack, providing a range of 450km on a single charge. The electric motor is expected to generate 138hp and 255Nm of torque, ensuring an engaging driving experience.
The upcoming Hyundai Creta EV is set to offer a blend of advanced features and a competitive electric vehicle range. It is scheduled to make its debut next month and may be presented at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in the Delhi NCR region.
