Hyundai has announced a significant change in the i20‘s lineup. To begin with, there’s a new Magna Executive trim, which costs less than the regular Magna variant. Then there’s a new Magna iVT variant that brings the convenience of automatic transmission to a more affordable price point. Last but not least, the Korean automaker has also updated its Sportz (O) trim with many new features (while simultaneously increasing its price point).

Newis i20 Magna Executive Features And Price

First and foremost, there’s a new i20 Magna Executive variant that sits between the baseline Era and the second-base Magna trims.
- While the i20 Magna Executive borrows all the features from the Era variant, it adds a couple of notable safety-related features like six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management Control (VSM), and Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC).
- Other additions on the i20 Magna Executive include R15 (D = 380.2mm) wheels with stylized wheel covers, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a digital instrument cluster with TFT multi-information display (MID).
What’s interesting is that the new Magna Executive variant costs Rs. 7.51 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs. 28,000 more affordable than the regular Magna variant. An Autocar report mentions how the Magna Executive variant offers the same features as the regular Magna trim, making the premium hatchback more affordable and accessible for budget-conscious consumers.
If you’re getting the lower variants of the i20, you can opt for the new 25.55 cm touchscreen infotainment system (with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) and a reverse parking camera as Hyundai-genuine accessories for Rs. 14,999. The company is also offering a three-year warranty on the accessory, making it a viable option for buyers who seek after-market fitments.

i20 Magna Is Now Available With iVT Transmission

Hyundai has also launched a new i20 Magna iVT variant, making the hatchback’s automatic variant more affordable than ever. Previously, it was the second-from-top Sportz variant that offered an iVT trim at Rs. 9.47 lakh (ex-showroom).
However, the i20 Magna iVT variant is available at Rs. 8.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs. 57,000 more affordable than the Sportz iVT variant.
In addition to the features available on the manual Magna, the iVT Magna offers six airbags, an electronic sunroof, rear AC vents, daytime running LEDs (DRLs), and a front center console with armrest/storage.
i20 Sportz (O) MT Gets New Features And A Price Hike

Until now, the i20 Sportz (O) has been among the most value-for-money variants of the hatchback, but that might change for some buyers. The updated Sportz (O) trim offers push-button start/stop, along with a seven-speaker Bose sound system (features that were previously available on the top Asta trim).
Additional features on the i20 Sportz (O) include a voice-controlled sunroof, a fully automatic climate control unit (FATC) with digital display, and Z-shaped LED tail lamps.
However, with the added features, the updated Sportz (O) MT trim now costs Rs. 9.05 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 28,000 higher than the older Sportz (O) model. Further, the prices of the Sportz (O) MT Dual Tone and the Sports (O) iVT have been hiked by Rs. 28,000 and Rs. 18,000, respectively.
