Infinix GT 30 Pro 5G Review: Design and Build
The Infinix GT 30 Pro has been designed with gamers in mind. What impressed us the most was Infinix’s choice to adopt a more understated and simple design this year compared to last. The phone features a flat display and flat edges, contributing to its modern and premium appearance. We received the Blade White variant of the device, which boasts sharp corners and red accents that enhance its aesthetic appeal. The rear panel is equipped with a white LED lighting strip. The alternative Dark Flare version showcases a unique RGB lighting design that enhances the back panel’s appearance during gaming sessions. For individuals like me who prefer simplicity, the white variant is the more appealing option.

On the right side of the smartphone, you will find the volume rockers and the power button, while the bottom edge features the SIM tray, microphone, Type-C port, and speaker grille. The top edge is equipped with an additional speaker, another microphone, and an IR blaster.
The back panel features red accents encircling the camera module, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. Nevertheless, the camera module’s excessive protrusion is somewhat disappointing. The slim bezels surrounding the display contribute to a premium feel for this budget smartphone, providing an immersive experience during content consumption and gaming.
The back panel is constructed from plastic, yet the quality of the finish is impressive, preventing it from appearing cheap or substandard. This device features integrated RGB lighting with options for customization, including a Party Mode.
The Dark Flare variant showcases LED lights arranged in an RGB pattern, enhancing the gaming aesthetic. Conversely, if you prefer a more understated appearance like I do, you might appreciate the Blade White version, which includes a white LED light strip.

The most impressive aspect of these lights is that they serve more than just an aesthetic purpose; they can be tailored to represent different activities. Whether you are charging, gaming, or enjoying a music playback session, the selected light patterns will flash in unique ways. The Infinix GT 30 Pro has a weight of 188 grams, but its weight distribution is such that it never feels cumbersome, even during extended gaming sessions.
Infinix GT 30 Pro 5G Review: Display

The Infinix GT 30 Pro features a 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED display boasting a 1.5K resolution and an impressive peak brightness of 4500 nits. This screen is designed to excel in outdoor environments while also providing good color accuracy and brightness under indoor lighting conditions. Additionally, the display is safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, ensuring its durability for daily use.
The display settings provide just two color profiles to select from—Original and Bright. I noticed that the colors are somewhat saturated even in Original Mode, although this is only noticeable upon close inspection. Bright Mode presents more vivid colors, yet the detail remains impressive. Overall, whether you’re watching films, playing games, or simply scrolling through photos on social media, the visuals are sharp and lively.

The experience is further enhanced by its smooth 144Hz refresh rate, providing a buttery feel during scrolling and browsing social media. In this price range, Infinix presents sleek bezels surrounding the display, significantly improving streaming and gaming experiences.
Infinix GT 30 Pro 5G Review: Software
The Infinix GT 30 Pro operates on Android 15 with XOS 15 pre-installed. This device stands out in its category, offering a range of customization options along with numerous AI features that enhance daily usage, making it more enjoyable and user-friendly.
You also get Folax Assistant, capable of executing any task through voice commands. In addition, you gain access to an AI note and Writing Assistant to enhance productivity, along with tools such as AI Eraser and AI Cutout to improve your photographs.
Furthermore, there is also the GT Gaming Dashboard, which offers gaming tools such as FPS Monitor, Trigger Mapping, Touch Sensitivity Adjustment, Magic Voice, and more, all in one location.
Infinix has committed to providing two OS updates and three security patches, which is acceptable for this price segment.
Infinix GT 30 Pro 5G Review: Performance

The Infinix GT 30 Pro is a smartphone designed specifically for gamers. It features the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset, which provides exceptional efficiency for daily tasks while also delivering impressive gaming performance.
Accompanying the chipset are LPDDR5X RAM (expandable virtually up to 24GB) and UFS 4.0 storage, enabling quicker transitions between game scenes. Whether multitasking, switching between apps, or engaging in high-end gaming, the GT 30 Pro 5G ensures a lag-free experience.
As mentioned, this device has been specifically crafted with gamers in mind. To enhance their experience, it incorporates the X-Boost Gaming Engine and MediaTek Hyper Engine technology, which work to minimize latency and manage device heating during gameplay.
To ensure optimal thermal performance, it features a 6-layer 3D Vapor Chamber Cooling system that prevents overheating even during extended gaming sessions. We conducted several benchmark tests on the device, and here are the findings.

The GT 30 Pro allows gaming at a maximum frame rate of 120FPS, providing a solid gameplay experience, although this is restricted to certain titles. Demanding games such as Genshin Impact operate at 60 FPS on this device without experiencing any frame rate drops.
The Gaming experience is significantly elevated by the GT Triggers. These triggers are located at the top left and right corners of the touch-sensitive shoulder area of the display. Rather than being traditional buttons, they can be customized for any action during your gaming sessions.
You can utilize the triggers to manage gameplay or execute in-game actions such as firing, jumping, scooping in, or any other combination of moves. To set this up, simply access the GT Trigger interface and drag the desired button onto the screen. Once this is done, you will no longer need to repeatedly tap the screen while gaming, resulting in a smoother experience.

The triggers respond exceptionally quickly, allowing them to function within seconds, which is beneficial for any multilayer game. Additionally, the smartphone features bypass charging, a sports mode, and touch optimization, as well as a magic voice changer to enhance the gaming experience even further.
Infinix GT 30 Pro 5G Review: Cameras

The Infinix GT 30 Pro features a 108MP primary camera on the rear, complemented by an 8MP ultrawide sensor. This camera excels in capturing details and colors during daylight; however, in low-light conditions or when utilizing Night Mode, the quality of the photos tends to decline to an average level. Nevertheless, the resulting images are certainly suitable for sharing on social media.

At the front, there is a 13MP selfie camera that is adequate for video calls and taking selfies. However, several other phones within the same price range provide significantly superior selfie cameras, making them worth considering. The GT 30 Pro also includes AI features such as AI Extender, Eraser, and Cutout, enabling users to express their creativity.
All-in-all, GT 30 Pro can’t be called a camera phone for sure. This one’s for those who want RGB lighting or gaming capabilities.
Infinix GT 30 Pro 5G Review: Battery Life and Charging

The Infinix GT 30 Pro 5G is equipped with a 5500mAh battery, providing ample power for extended gaming sessions and all-day multitasking. Additionally, it supports 45W wired fast charging, 30W wireless charging, and bypass charging capabilities. The device also features 10W reverse wired charging and 5W reverse wireless charging.
Such features as wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are uncommon in this price range, making them valuable additions. This device can also function as a power bank, which can be quite useful at times.
Regarding charging, a 45W adapter is included in the package, and it takes approximately one hour to fully charge the device. The advantage is that once it reaches 100% charge, it can support 1-2 hours of gaming comfortably. Additionally, the bypass charging feature prevents the phone from overheating during gaming sessions.
Review Verdict: Should You Buy the Infinix GT 30 Pro 5G?
The Infinix GT 30 Pro is an excellent option for individuals seeking a gaming phone equipped with practical features for daily use. For those looking for a gaming phone within this price range, it offers features such as RGB lighting, a cooling system, and GT triggers that enhance the gaming experience.
While the GT 30 Pro may not stand out significantly in camera capabilities, it is evident that this device is not primarily aimed at photography but rather at gaming, and it has been crafted accordingly to effectively serve its purpose. Priced at ₹25K, this smartphone delivers exceptional performance, a stunning display, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging, enhancing the overall experience for daily use.
