iOS 26 & iPadOS 26 Stable Updates Announced: Check Release Date, New Features, & How To Install Here

The iPhone 17 series is official, and so is the iOS 26 stable update, which will soon be available for the compatible iPhone models. With the Liquid Glass design language, additions to the system apps like Messages, Phone, Camera, a revamped lock screen, and minor tweaks to other menus and layouts, iOS 26 is one of the most significant iOS upgrades to have launched in a while. iOS 26 Stable Update Release Date

Like last year, the iOS 26 stable update will roll out to the compatible iPhones on Monday, September 15, 2025. Beta users have had access to the operating system for weeks now, and with each version, Apple has added (and removed) several features, but it is the final, stable version that will roll out next week.

How to Install iOS 26 on Your iPhone?

Those with a compatible iPhone should get a push notification stating that the iOS 26 update is available for their device. You can also head to Settings > General > Software Update and check if the iOS 26 stable update is available for your device. If it is, you can download and install it (provided you have the required space on your iPhone).

iPadOS 26, macOS 26, and watchOS 26

Along with iOS 26, Apple will also release iPadOS 26, macOS 26 “Tahoe,” watchOS 26, tvOS 26, visionOS 26, and the update for HomePod’s software. Among all these updates, users will find the Liquid Glass design language common, along with device-specific changes. For instance, the iPadOS 26 includes a new windowing system, while the macOS 26 includes improved Spotlight.
