Yesterday Qualcomm hosted the Snapdragon Tech Summit in Hawaii wherein the latest series of chipsets was unveiled. As soon as the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset was announced, the race to launch the first phone powered by the SoC became even more fiercer. Joining the start line is Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO which has confirmed the launch of its next flagship smartphone iQOO 13 5G. Not only the launch date but the design and key specs have also been confirmed for the device. Moreover, its India launch has been teased as well.

iQOO 13 5G: Launch Date

The iQOO 13 5G will arrive in China on 30th October. The same has been confirmed by the brand via its social media channels in China.

Also, Nipun Marya has taken to X to tease the launch of iQOO 13 5G in India as well. Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset has been confirmed though the launch date hasn’t been announced yet. Earlier reports claimed that the India launch date might be 5th December, but since the launch is already teased, it will be much earlier than the tipped date.

iQOO 13 5G: Design

iQOO 13 official page has gone live on Vivo e-store in China. It reveals the design as well as color variants for the smartphone. According to the website, iQOO 13 will launch in four colors for the back panel. Otherwise, the design is very similar to iQOO 12 as this one too has three cameras on a squircle island. The renders reveal color variants to be White Legend, Black Track, Green Isle of Man, and Nado Silver/Gray with a BMW M Motorsport branding. The device also sports a tiny strip of halo light on the island which might act as a notification light.

There is also a regular LED flash next to the cameras. The volume rocker and power key can be found on the right edge while a speaker grille is there on the top. The smartphone has a flat frame design.

iQOO 13 5G: Features

iQOO 13 5G is confirmed to flaunt a 6.82-inch 2K+ OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate. The display will reportedly use BOE’s Q10 luminous material and support full-brightness high-frequency dimming. It will also have circular polarization eye protection technology. The smartphone is confirmed to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and also features a 7k Ultra-large vapor chamber and a Q2 gaming chip for PC-grade super-resolution.

The upcoming flagship is confirmed to pack a large 6510mAh battery under the hood with 120W wired fast charging speed. The smartphone will run Origin OS 5 based on Android 15 in China and FunTouch OS 15 in India and it might offer up to eight years of OS updates.
