Leaked details about the upcoming iQOO 13 have already started emerging. According to a post by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the iQOO 13 will feature a 2K LTPO BOE X-substrate display and the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.

The display’s refresh rate is unconfirmed (for now), but we’re expecting iQOO to bump it from the already high 144 Hz to 165 Hz. We’re also expecting the inclusion of a new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor developed by a Chinese manufacturer.

Design-wise, the iQOO 13 is likely sticking with the square-ish camera module of its predecessor. We’re also unsure of any camera upgrades this year. It’s rumored to maintain a similar design to its predecessor, the iQOO 12, with a metal frame and glass body. The sleek body might get a bit heftier, though, with the larger battery inside.

The iQOO 13 is rumored to feature a large 6000 mAh battery, which will be the norm with most Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 launching by the end of this year or even next year.

Despite the larger battery, charging speeds are expected to remain unchanged, and wireless charging remains off the feature list (once again). One feature that could be added to the iQOO 13 has a proper water and dust resistance with an IP68 rating.

Expect the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 to be announced at the upcoming Snapdragon Summit from October 21–24. Following this, the iQOO 13 could debut in China in November 2024, followed by a global or Indian launch in December 2024, mirroring the iQOO 12’s launch strategy.
