TL; DR
- iQOO 15 has been teased officially in China, and the expected launch is around September.
- The iQOO 15 could be the first to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850).
- We’re expecting a flat 2K display, periscope camera, and big battery with 100W charging.
iQOO is back in the spotlight, this time officially teasing its next flagship, iQOO 15, in China. And yes, they’re skipping the number 14 altogether. That’s not exactly unexpected (many Chinese brands tend to avoid “4” in product names). With a launch expected sometime in September for China and possibly around November for India, we’re looking at a phone with some nice upgrades.
iQOO 15 Specifications
What makes this one interesting is the possibility that it could be the first phone to come with Qualcomm’s next big chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, codenamed SM8850. If this turns out to be true, then iQOO might beat other brands to the punch this year, at least when it comes to performance-centric phones. Given iQOO’s gaming DNA and tendency to push hardware limits, this actually makes sense.
Design-wise, tipsters have claimed that iQOO is going for a flat 2K display. That might not sound like a huge deal, but for many power users and gamers, flat screens are just more practical. Also mentioned is a periscope telephoto lens, something that would put the iQOO 15 more in line with premium camera flagships unlike the iQOO 13.

Other expected specs include a big battery, 100W wired fast charging, and improved haptics, and basically everything else you’d want from a 2025 flagship. iQOO phones have typically delivered strong value in the performance space, but this year, it looks like they want to close the gap in camera and display as well.
We don’t know everything just yet, but this teaser confirms that the iQOO 15 is confirmed. If the specs and pricing hold up, it could be one of the most value-for-money flagships of the year. Let’s just hope the India launch doesn’t take too long after the China debut.
