iQOO 5 Pro is the world’s first phone with 120W fast charging

As expected, iQOO 5 series was announced in China on August 17. The company has launched two new phones – iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro – that succeed the iQOO 3 phones launched late last year. The biggest attraction from today’s launch is the 120W flash fast charging in the pro variant that fully refills its 4000mAh battery in just 15 minutes!

iQOO 5 Pro Vs iQOO 5 Specs: What’s different?

The iQOO 5 Pro and iQOO 5 are equally well specced. Both the phones dope a 120Hz AMOLED display. What sets the displays’ of these two smartphones apart are the side edges. Both house a 6.56 inches size screen, but the iQOO 5 has a flat panel, whereas the iQOO 5 Pro gets curved edges. iQOO hs opted for a 20:9 aspect ratio for a display that has 1,300nits brightness of peak brightness, 100 percent P3 color gamut, and HDR10+ for modern on the go content consumption. Both phones get an in-display fingerprint scanner.

iQOO employs Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 at the core of both these phones paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Both these phones are offered with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage.

As for optics, rear camera modules are led by Samsung GN1 50MP primary camera. On the iQOO 5 Pro, this 50MP sensor is accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 13MP telephoto lens. Whereas on the iQOO 5, it is teamed with a 13MP ultrawide sensor and an 8MP depth sensor. The iQOO 5 Pro camera also has OIS 5x optical zoom, 60x hybrid zoom, and 8K video recording whereas the iQOO 5 supports EIS and 20x digital zoom.

The iQOO 5 siblings are backed by big batteries. the vanilla variant has a 4,500mAh battery with 55W fast charging support. The Pro edition, on the other hand, ships with a 4,000mAh battery with 120W flash fast charging. As per iQOO, it only takes 15 minutes to completely charge the iQOO 5 Pro from 0 to 100 percent.

The iQOO 5 phones comes with dual SIM support, 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, X-axis linear motor, USB-C, stereo speakers with dedicated audio chip for 120db Hi-Fidelity, Hi-Res Audio.

Both the iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro smartphones can now be pre-booked in China. The first sale for both iQOO 5 phones will be held on August 24.
