iQOO Pad launching in China on May 23: Read on to know more

Tech giant iQOO is all set to host a launch event in China on May 23. While earlier it was confirmed that the brand will launch iQOO Neo8 Series and TWS Air Pro Buds in China on that date, now one more product has been announced to arrive alongside the Neo8 Series.

iQOO has posted a video showing off the iQOO Pad which has a metal body and comes with premium-grade specifications.

iQOO Pad launch confirmed

iQOO has listed the Pad for reservation on JD.com. The listing reveals that the Pad will come in 4 storage configurations-

  • 8GB RAM+128GB storage
  • 8GB RAM+256GB storage
  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage
  • 12GB RAM+512GB storage

The video posted by iQOO reveals that the Pad has a design quite similar to Vivo Pad 2 that came to China in April. The Pad has a connector at the back for the keyboard dock and dual rear cameras with LED flash. The Pad has a flat frame with curved corners. It has a slim profile and sports a circular camera module at the back. The display has narrow bezels while the bottom edge has a USB Type-C port for charging.

iQOO Pad: Expected specs

Tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the iQOO Pad will sport a 12.1-inch 2.8K LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will have a 13MP main and 2MP macro camera at the back while the front will have an 8MP selfie camera. The Pad is expected to pack a 10,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. It is said to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB onboard storage.

The Pad is expected to be 6.59mm thick and weigh about 585 grams. It is likely to run Android 13 OS with Origin OS 3 on top. As per the JD.com listing, Pad will come in a single grey color option.

There is no word about when the pad will come to Indian or other markets. Meanwhile, stay tuned to this space for more updates.
