The Lenovo-owned smartphone brand Moto announced yet another budget-friendly smartphone in the country – Moto G24 Power. As the name suggests, the phone has enough power to last two days of usage, thanks to the 6,000 mAh battery. It also offers a big screen, stereo speaker setup, and a headphone jack. Is G24 Power the ideal affordable smartphone one should buy? Let’s find out.

Moto G24 Power Design

The handset will be available in India in two colorways: Ink Blue and Glacier Blue. Its front panel houses symmetrical bezels, except for the noticeable chin at the bottom. Users get a punch-hole display.

The right frame houses the power/volume buttons, while the left has the SIM tray. The USB-C port and the primary speaker are at the bottom, whereas the 3.5mm headphone jack is on the upper frame.

Moto G24 Power Specifications

Moto G24 Power Specifications

The Moto G24 Power has a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS screen with a peak brightness of 537 nits. It also supports a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the handset runs on the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. In terms of memory, the device comes in two models. The first model has 4GB of RAM, while the second model has 8GB of RAM. Both models have 128GB of storage. The device can also extend the memory virtually and supports a microSD card for expanding storage.

Regarding cameras, the Moto G24 Power has a 50MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro shooter. On the front, users get a 16MP (f/2.45) selfie shooter. Powering the smartphone is a massive 6,000 mAh battery that supports 33W fast wired charging. The battery should easily last users up to two days on a single charge on light to moderate usage.

Connectivity options on the phone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port. In terms of price, the Moto G24 Power is among the few phones that offer an IP52 rating. Although it’s nowhere near what the modern flagships offer, the IP rating instills confidence in the phone’s built. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

The only con in the handset is the absence of 5G connectivity. Most recently, Lava launched the Blaze 2 5G, which offered 5G connectivity under Rs. 10,000. However, the handset holds its ground as a 4G phone, making it a solid recommendation.

Moto G24 Power Price

The base variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs. 8,999, while the top variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs. 9,999. The smartphone will be available via Flipkart starting at 12 PM on February 7, 2024. Interested users can also purchase it from Motorola’s official website and other retail stores in the country.
