Jawan is a recently released Bollywood film directed by Atlee, which had generated significant attention among fans and industry insiders alike before its release. Theatrically released on September 7, 2023, the movie is available in Hindi as well as dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu. While the film’s original release date was set for June 2, it was postponed for undisclosed reasons. Recent leaks suggest that Jawan will make its digital debut on an OTT platform very soon and the streaming platform has also been confirmed.

Jawan OTT Release: When and Where to Stream Jawan?

The digital rights for Jawan attracted interest from major streaming platforms such as Netflix, Disney Plus Hotstar, and Prime Video. However, it is Netflix that has secured the digital rights for Shah Rukh Khan’s action drama film. Netflix has a longstanding partnership with Shah Rukh Khan’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. The movie will be released on November 2 on OTT.

Update: Jawan is now streaming on Netflix.

Netflix and Red Chillies Partnership

Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment previously extended their partnership, allowing Netflix to stream 20 films and programs produced by Red Chillies. The agreement has been further extended for the next five years, ensuring that all films from the Red Chillies studio will be available on the Netflix platform. Given this established relationship, Netflix has acquired the OTT rights for Jawan, adding to its exclusive content library.

Jawan to be 20-minutes Longer on Netflix

Director Atlee has undertaken the task of crafting an entirely new director’s cut of the film, specifically tailored for Netflix. This will provide the viewers with an even more immersive and comprehensive cinematic experience. When Jawan lands on Netflix, it will have a runtime of 3 hours and 15 minutes in contrast to 2 hours and 45 minutes length during its theatrical run.

Jawan Plot, Cast, and Crew

Jawan follows the story of Shah Rukh Khan’s character, a common man caught in a series of unfavorable events, leading to false accusations and unjust punishment. The movie explores the challenges faced by everyday individuals in Indian society, highlighting the resilience and determination of the protagonist as he strives to clear his name. Alongside Shah Rukh Khan, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt, and many other talented actors.

With a production budget of 200 crores, Jawan is undoubtedly a high-budget movie, featuring some of the industry’s finest actors. The film’s teaser has garnered immense excitement and positive reactions from fans, indicating a promising box office performance. Early projections suggest an impressive opening day collection of around 50 crores INR.

As the release of Jawan approaches, the excitement surrounding the movie continues to grow. With its intriguing plot, star-studded cast, high production budget, and upcoming OTT release, Jawan promises to captivate audiences and deliver an enthralling cinematic experience. Fans eagerly await the arrival of this action-packed thriller helmed by Atlee and featuring the charismatic Shah Rukh Khan at the forefront.
