Since its inception in the year 2016, Jio Phones have been popular among the masses due to their affordable cost and premium features. Carrying this legacy forward, Reliance announced Jio Next back in June at their AGM conference. The smartphone is said to be an ultra-affordable 4G phone which aims towards mobile users who are still using 2G phones. It is the result of Jio’s partnership with Google.

JioPhone Next Price and Availability

Though Jio Next was expected to be priced at around Rs. 3500, recent reports state otherwise. Report by ET Now says that Reliance might sell the basic Jio Next model at Rs. 5000 while Jio Next Advance would be available at Rs. 7000 in the country. However potential customers might be able to get their phone by paying as low as Rs. 500 and Rs. 700 respectively.

How to get Jio Next for Rs. 500

The reports state that Jio is aiming to sell 50 million units in the next 6 months and to achieve this milestone, it has partnered with SBI, Piramal Capital, IDFC First Assure, and DMI Finance. Combined, these vowed to do a business of Rs. 10,000 crores.

Furthermore, to reduce the burden on consumers’ pockets, Jio Phone Next buyers won’t have to pay the full amount at the time of purchase. Instead, they can just pay 10% of the phone’s cost and the remaining price can be paid to the partner banks and finance companies through easy EMI options. Under this scheme, a basic model will be available at Rs. 500 and Advance model would be buyable at Rs. 700.

Moreover, Reliance Jio has also partnered with non-banking finance companies, known as NBFCs, to give customers options for availing of credit. This would mean that customers will be able to get their smartphones financed now.
