Kia India achieves 4% Annual Sales Growth in India: Sonet, Syros & Seltos become top-selling models

Kia India, a prominent player in the automotive sector, is maintaining its strong growth momentum, achieving notable sales figures in March 2025. The company reported domestic sales of 25,525 units, marking a remarkable year-on-year increase of 19.3% from 21,400 units in March 2024. The Sonet was the leading model, contributing 30% to total sales, while the Seltos, Carens, and Syros followed with shares of 26%, 22%, and 20%, respectively.

This positive trend is evident in the quarterly sales figures, which reached 75,576 units, representing a 15.6% rise from the 65,369 units sold during the same quarter last year. Additionally, Kia India reported annual sales of 255,207 units, reflecting a 4% increase from the 245,634 units sold in FY 2023-24. In terms of exports, Kia shipped 26,892 units to international markets, further making its presence felt on a global scale.

The standout achievement of the quarter was the impressive launch of the Kia Syros, which has already achieved sales of 15,986 units since its introduction, highlighting the brand’s capability to offer products that appeal to Indian consumers.

Regarding the Sonet, this sub-4m SUV has consistently been Kia India’s top performer in sales and volume. Specifically, the Sonet contributes approximately 30% to Kia India’s overall sales, with the Seltos following at 26%, the Carens at 22%, and the Syros at 20%. The remaining 2% of sales are attributed to the Carnival, EV9, and EV6 models.
