After the success of the XUV 3XO, Mahindra is now gearing up to unveil the compact SUV’s electric version, the XUV 3XO EV. The vehicle is speculated to launch next year, but it has been spied several times.
Most recently, Team-BHP saw the VUX 3XO EV’s test unit in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. It featured different dual-tone alloy wheels than what we’ve seen on the regular 3XO.

XUV 3XO EV To Feature New Dual-Tone Alloy Wheels

Only the front bumper of the vehicle was camouflaged. Although this is a bit odd, as we’ve seen companies heavily camouflaging their upcoming vehicles, it could also mean there aren’t many changes in the car.
As the spy shots show, the vehicle has a stacked headlamp setup with a slim grille. Further, the company should also refresh the bumper with a slightly modernized look (as is prevalent in the EV segment). Usually, EVs feature a charging port on the front, but the XUV 3XO EV has it on the front passenger-side fender.
The vehicle’s rear bumper had L-shaped LED taillights with a connected light setup. The variant in question was equipped with a roof spoiler, shark-fin antenna, and roof rails.

XUV 3XO EV To Borrow Several Interior Elements From Its ICE Version

On the inside, the vehicle could carry a similar look and feel to the ICE XUV 3XO. We’re talking about a three-spoke steering wheel, floating infotainment system, and two-tone interior finish. However, one of the spy shots reveals a different drive mode selector. Other interior elements, like the upholstery, dials for the air conditioner, and the wireless charger, could be similar to the ICE version.
The publication also suggests that the XUV 3XO EV could feature a smaller battery pack than the XUV 400. However, it wouldn’t make much sense for the company to sell two different models with similar features, form factor, and design, with the battery pack being the only differentiator.
Hence, we believe that the XUV 3XO EV could be the rightful successor to the XUV 400, which is already available for heavy discounts at the moment.
