Everything we know about the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara Electric SUV
Maruti e-Vitara Range and Battery Options
Maruti Suzuki isn’t cutting corners with its first electric SUV. The e-Vitara will be offered with two battery pack options: 49kWh and 61kWh, giving buyers a choice between everyday practicality and long-distance capability.
The larger 61kWh unit is the real highlight, promising an estimated range of over 500 kilometres on a single charge. Under the hood (or rather, beneath the floor), a permanent magnet synchronous motor delivers 128kW of power, roughly 171 horsepower, and 192.5Nm of torque, making it enough to make city commutes and highway runs feel equally effortless.
Maruti has also included multiple drive modes – Eco, Normal, Sport, and Snow, along with regenerative braking that allows for near one-pedal driving. To ensure consistency across climates, the SUV uses adaptive grille shutters and a thermal management system, both tuned to maintain performance in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C.
Maruti e-Vitara Design and Interior

The e Vitara SUV follows Nexa’s “Crafted Futurism” design philosophy, with polyhedral surfaces, a closed-off front grille, and sleek LED lighting that gives it a sharp, aerodynamic look. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and features matrix LED DRLs paired with LED projector headlamps, adding a premium touch that aligns with Nexa’s upmarket positioning.

Inside, Maruti has gone with a tech-forward layout, a dual-screen setup combining a 10.1-inch infotainment display and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The cabin feels more upscale than any previous Maruti, thanks to ventilated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat,a floating twin-deck console, and ambient lighting that gives it a modern vibe.
