Meta’s AI experience across its messaging platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, is about to get better. The company has announced several improvements to its AI model.

Improvements To Meta AI

Per the official newsroom post, Meta AI will provide more detailed responses on mobile and more accurate summaries of search results. “We’ve even made it so you’re more likely to get a helpful response to a wider range of requests.”

Users can start a new message and choose “Create an AI chat” on Meta’s messaging platforms to interact with the AI assistance. Alternatively, they can type “@MetaAI” in a group chat followed by their query. Last but not least, those using Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses can even say “Hey Meta” to activate the assistance.

Meta AI’s Imagine Gets A New Feature

One of Meta AI’s most popular features, Imagine, is getting an update too. Called Reimagine, the feature lets users riff on an image created using Meta AI and generate an entirely new image. “Now you can kick images back and forth, laughing as you try to one-up each other with increasingly wild ideas,” says Meta in its newsroom post.

Users Can Now See Responses With Reels

Since users find it more engaging to interact with videos or reels, Meta AI now shows Reels with its answers to users’ queries. This feature will benefit users with visual responses, which is helpful for those planning a trip or trying to sort a DIY project.

Beyond this, Meta is also exploring ways for people to use AI to create birthday posts, edit their feed posts, draft a clever introduction for Facebook Dating profiles, or set up a new group. Another update includes ways to create and share AI-generated images on Facebook. Further, users should also be able to convert portrait images to landscape.

Other Meta AI Features

Other AI-related improvements coming to Meta’s platforms include the ability to search for relevant information in Groups, help people learn more about products on Marketplace, and generate responses based on DMs (for creators). Meta’s text-to-image generation tool is now available on the web, starting in the United States.
