Stranger Things Fans! We have news for you. Recently on the occasion of ‘The Stranger Things Day’ Netflix officially unveiled the script cover and the title for episode 1 of the final season of the series. Netflix took to its Twitter handle to announce that the title of the 1st episode of Stranger Things Season 5 will be ‘The Crawl’.  The episode has been written by series creators Matt and Ross Duffer and has the modifier ‘ Chapter One in front of it.

What can the title reveal?

The Crawl certainly feels vaguer than the previous seasons’ episode titles and gives away very little in terms of the storyline. While the team is trying to keep all the cards about the plotline under wraps, the series is expected to go “100 miles an hour from the beginning” when it comes back with its final season.

Recently, Collider talked to Duffer Brothers about what the final season will entail and they learned that after Season 4 took audiences to locations around the globe like California and Russia, Season 5 will be spent within Hawkins and the town’s Upside Down mirror universe. The final episodes will explain what exactly the Upside Down is with Ross Duffer saying, “The big reveals that are coming in Season 5 are really about the Upside Down itself”.

The final season will be set within Hawkins as they explore the history behind the parallel horrifying truths of the Upside Down universe. The realm where the Demogorgon, Shadow Monster, and the Mind Flayer ravished in, before stepping into the real world and creating havoc.

Stranger Things 5: Production details

Writing for the finale season kicked off in August and is well underway. Filming is expected to begin in 2023. For now, there has been no official announcement about when the series will premiere on Netflix, but looking at the timeline, chances of it coming before 2024 are bleak.

Stranger Things 5: Cast Details

The series stars Winona Ryder (Joyce Beyers), David Harbour (Black Widow), Millie Bobby Brown (Enola Holmes), Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, Priah Ferguson, and Jamie Campbell Bower.

The last season had appearances from Joseph Quinn, Mathew Modine, Eduardo Franco, Gabriella Pizzolo, Amybeth McNulty, and Paul Reiser, though there has been no official announcement on whether any of these actors will return.

Stranger Things Season 1-4: Where to watch

The last season of Stranger Things premiered in July this year. In its first 28 days of release, Stranger Things 4- Volume 1 and 2 combined generated 1.352 billion viewing hours on Netflix, claiming the first place as the most-watched English series on Netflix. It stands 2nd after Squid Game when it comes to worldwide releases.
