Nokia 8.1 which made its global debut a few days back in Dubai has now made its way to India. Barring stock Android software the phone is same as Nokia X7 which was launched way back in China.
Nokia 8.1 Features
The company has pitched the Nokia 8.1 as the affordable flagship successor of Nokia 7 Plus. The phone boasts a 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with HDR 10 support. The display has an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 and 86.5% screen to body ratio. The phone features a 2.5D curved glass on either side.
The Nokia 8.1 enthralls on 10nm Snapdragon 710 chipset which is accompanied with Adreno 616 GPU. The phone comes with with a RAM of 4GB and includes an internal storage of 64GB. The internal storage can be expanded up to 400GB with a microSD card.
The company seems to be betting big on Nokia 8.1 cameras. It comes with dual rear camera setup comprising of a 12MP(f/1.8 aperture) PDAF sensor and a 13MP secondary camera with fixed focus coupled with a Dual-tone LED flash. The rear primary shooter has Optical Image Stabilization(OIS) feature. On the front, we have a 20MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
The phone comes with Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. Nokia 8.1 is a part of Google’s Android One Program so there shouldn’t be any issues with updates. The phone also includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and features a Type-C USB port. Nokia 8.1 is powered by a battery of capacity 3500 mAh and supports 18W fast charging.
Nokia 8.1 Price and Availablity
The Nokia 8.1 is available in two colours namely: Blue Silver, and Night Black. The mobile has been priced at ₹26,999. HMD Global will start selling the phone on offline channels, Amazon India and Nokia’s own online store from December 21.
