Nvidia launches affordable GeForce RTX 3050 Desktop GPU, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti for gaming laptops

Nvidia has launched the GeForce RTX 3050 desktop GPU to cater to inexpensive desktop needs. Apart from that, the company has launched costly – GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti for laptops. The upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GPU also has been tested and slated to launch later. 

At CES 2022, Nvidia also showcased its cloud gaming platform GeForce Now with new games and confirms that this service will be also available on 5G smartphones. For improving the Nividia’s Reflex ecosystem, new monitors and mice will be unveiled by OEMs with a 1440p resolution and 360Hz refresh rate monitors.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Details

The GeForce RTX 3050 GPU will be a successor to the GeForce RTX 1650. It is fabricated on Ampere architecture featuring RTX ray tracing effects and DLSS image upscaling. The new RTX 3050 sports 2560 CUDA cores with a clock speed of up to 1.78GHz. The graphic cards based on RTX 3050 GPU will be paired with 8GB GDDR6 memory. 

The company has announced to avail GeForce RTX 3050 GPU in global markets from January 27 at a price of $249 in the USA and Rs 22,200 in India. It will be available in different custom designs from brands like Asus, MSI, Zotac, Gigabyte, Inno3D, Palit, etc., and will not bear the in-house Founders Edition tag.

GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Details

GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti – the two GPUs for gaming laptops are powered by Ampere technology built on Nvidia’s 2nd gen RTX architecture. Both GPUs feature Ray Tracing and Tensor cores while RTX 3080 Ti with more enhanced optimization for superfast performance. 

The RTX 3080 Ti GPU starts at INR 62,000 and the RTX 3070 Ti is priced at INR 44,500 onwards, thus making the laptops cost around INR 1,90,990 and INR 1,14,490 respectively. 

GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Details

The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is the flagship announcement from Nvidia which is said to perform TITAN class performance. It is claimed to be the world’s fastest GPU based on Ampere architecture featuring ray tracing and AI performance with enhanced Ray Tracing Cores, Tensor Cores, and new streaming multiprocessors. For the next level gaming experience. the GPU will support up to 24GB of GDDR6X RAM memory. It is priced at INR 1,33,500 onwards for the Indian market.

Other Announcements from Nvidia

Nvidia has made new upgrades to its Canvas application to help the creators generate AI-based landscapes with fresh elements at four times higher resolution. The Nvidia Omniverse 3D virtual world simulation platform is now made public for free to use. GeForce Now cloud gaming platform comes with 10 new games including Escape from Tarkov, Rainbox Six: Extraction, and The Day Before among others.
