OnePlus is working on its next flagship, OnePlus 13 5G as the successor to the OnePlus 12 5G. The Chinese brand is yet to confirm the launch of the OnePlus 13 but months ahead, expected features, design, and more have tipped online. OnePlus 13 is expected to be one of the first devices to be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Elite chipset and also feature a flat display with curved edges.

OnePlus 13: Launch Timeline

OnePlus 13 is tipped to be one of the first phones to launch with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and it might happen towards the end of October or early November. OnePlus will introduce the flagship in China first, followed by a global rollout later. November will be the month wherein flagships like Oppo Find X8 Series, Vivo 200 series, Xiaomi 15 series, Realme GT 7 Pro, and Redmi K80 series are also expected to go official.

OnePlus 13: Expected pricing

The latest leak on Weibo tips the price of the OnePlus 13 to be CNY 5299 for 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. This will be a 10.4% hike from OnePlus 12. In India, the OnePlus 13 might cost around Rs. 77,000 compared to the OnePlus 12 which was priced at Rs. 69,999 for a high-end model.

OnePlus 13: Expected design

OnePlus 13 is expected to ditch the circular camera module but might retain the same lens arrangements as its predecessor. It is also said to have a flat display with curved edges and a glass rear panel instead of ceramic. Some renders that surfaced online show the smartphone in a green colorway with a vegan leather finish. However, there have been no confirmed updates about how the device will look like.

OnePlus 13: Specs

OnePlus 13 is expected to have at least 12GB of RAM with the highest model getting 16GB RAM. The storage options will include 256GB and 512 GB. In terms of display, OnePlus has continued its partnership with BOE. OnePlus 13 is tipped to sport a 6.8-inch 2K 8T LTPO display with 6000 nits peak brightness and it might be a flat display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Elite chipset and pack a 6000mAh battery this time. AI features will also be a part of the OnePlus 13 this time. This time around, the OnePlus 13 is also expected to have a self-developed Tidal Engine and Aurora Engine to optimize the system and enhance performance.

In China, the OnePlus 13 will come with ColorOS 15 while globally, it is expected to run OxygenOS 15 which will be a bloatware-free version with Google Play services. ColorOS 15 is tipped to come with features like new lock screen features, a better file-sharing platform, and more.

Leaks claim that the OnePlus 13 will have an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and be the first OnePlus flagship to have an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. The flagship is likely to support 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Magnetic wireless charging has also been tipped for OnePlus 13. It might sport a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main sensor at the back along with 50MP ultrawide and 64MP periscope telephoto camera.

OnePlus 12 went official in China in December 2023 and globally it was launched in January 2024. The same might be true for OnePlus 13 as it might launch in China in October 2024 and globally in November 2024.
