The OnePlus 13’s launch is still several months away, but leaks and rumors about the device have already started surfacing the web. A new leak from Digital Chat Station, a reputed leaker on Weibo, suggests that the OnePlus 13 could skip wireless charging.
This change has caused a lot of outrage in the community. In fact, the leaker himself seemed quite infuriated with this change. He posted, “is it OK without wireless charging?,” followed by an angry emoji.
For the uninitiated, the OnePlus 12 has support for 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. The community was really happy to see OnePlus bring back wireless charging after removing it on the OnePlus 11. Now, removing the feature, again, on the OnePlus 13 doesn’t seem to be a good move.

The price of the OnePlus 13 is also expected to rise even more. And, at that price, not including wireless charging would be shameful for OnePlus. However, this could open up the possibility of a OnePlus 13 Pro, but that’s just speculation.
Nevertheless, the leak also suggests that the OnePlus 13 will sport a 6000 mAh battery, a substantial jump from the 5400 mAh on the OnePlus 12. The charging speed will remain the same at 100W.

Digital Chat Station also provided some details about the display and the chip of the OnePlus 13. The phone will have a 6.8” 8T LTPO AMOLED screen with micro curves, giving it the appearance of an almost flat display.
The OnePlus 13 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the upcoming flagship chipset from Qualcomm for 2025. In addition, the phone is expected to feature a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens, a notable upgrade from the 32 MP telephoto lens on the OnePlus 12.
Finally, other rumors suggest the OnePlus 13 could move the camera island from the top-left to the center, similar to the OnePlus Open. We expect the device to be launched in late Q4 2024. What’s your take on this controversial move by OnePlus? Let us know in the comments below.
