OnePlus 13 Design And Colors

The OnePlus 13, from all sides and angles, resembles its predecessor. There are a few changes, however.
To begin with, the phone features symmetrical bezels with a punch-hole screen on the front. On the back, the phone still features a circular camera module, but it doesn’t merge into the phone’s left frame anymore. Another minor yet noticeable change in the design is the additional horizontal line in the upper portion of the rear panel.
In China, the OnePlus 13 will be available in three finishes: Blue (with a vegan leather back), White (with a matte glass back), and Black (with a wood-textured back). Interestingly, the phone has both IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
OnePlus 13 Key Specifications And Features

Out of the box, the OnePlus 13 features a 6.82-inch QuadHD+ LTPO AMOLED screen that supports an adaptive refresh rate (1 – 120Hz) and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Additional display features include 2,160Hz PWM dimming and support for Dolby Vision content. The screen is made in collaboration with BOE to produce higher brightness and more accurate colors.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 13 runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (3nm) chip, the one that tops the benchmarks along with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC. The AI-ready chipset is combined with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, resulting in excellent app loading speeds and retention in the background.

For a flagship gaming performance, the chipset features the Adreno 830 GPU. Further, a 9,952 millimeter-square vapor chamber helps maintain optimum temperature for sustained peak performance. Of course, the phone will be available in multiple memory and storage variants.

Regarding optics, the company retains the triple-Hasselblad camera setup. While the primary camera on the OnePlus 13 utilizes a 50MP (f/1.6) sensor, the secondary camera is a 50MP (f/2.2) sensor. Then there’s a periscope telephoto sensor with 50MP resolution that provides 3x optical zoom and up to 120 digital zoom. The lens on this sensor has a f/2.6 aperture.
To click selfies, users get a 32MP (f/2.4) front-facing camera. While the rear camera is capable of recording 8K videos with optical image stabilization, the front camera is limited to 4K resolution.

Powering the handset is a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging and 50W wired charging. This is a significant improvement from the OnePlus 12 (review), which features a 5,400 mAh battery. However, given the reports about the power-hungry nature of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, we would want to review the OnePlus 13 before commenting on its battery life.
