January 2025 is shaping up to be a significant month for the technology sector. Numerous major companies are preparing to unveil their latest products in the first month of the new year, with CES 2025 set to commence on January 7th, generating considerable anticipation. OnePlus is among those preparing for a major announcement, having confirmed the date for its Winter Launch Event. On January 7, 2025, the company will reveal its next flagship device, the OnePlus 13, both globally and in India.
OnePlus Launch Event: Date, Time, Livestreaming Details
The OnePlus Winter Launch Event will take place on 7th January 2025 at 10:30 AM EST which means 4:30 PM CET and 9 PM IST. The event will be live-streamed on OnePlus India’s YouTube channel.

OnePlus Launch Event: Expectations
OnePlus 13 5G
The highlight of the event will be the launch of the next flagship from the house of OnePlus, the OnePlus 13 5G smartphone. OnePlus 13 is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. The phone will run OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 and sport a vegan leather finish at the back. OnePlus 13 is said to sport the same camera setup and display as its predecessor, however battery is rumored to be bumped up to 6000mAh with support for 100W charging speed. It will have an IP69 rating and come in Midnight Ocean, Black Eclipse, and Arctic Dawn shades.
OnePlus 13R 5G
OnePlus is also expected to announce a toned-down OnePlus 13R smartphone that will be more affordable than the flagship model. OnePlus 13R is expected to sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It will most likely come with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard and run OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15. The OnePlus 13R is said to feature a triple lens setup at the back including 50MP+8MP+50MP sensors and a 16MP sensor at the front. Under the hood, it might pack a 6000mAh battery with 100W charging. It will be shorter and thinner than the OnePlus 12R and come in Nebula Noir and Astral Trail shades.

OnePlus Watch 3
OnePlus might also announce the next-generation smartwatch, OnePlus Watch 3 during the event. OnePlus Watch 3 has already cleared the FCC certification and it is confirmed to arrive with a 648mAh battery. The next-generation smartwatch will measure 47.6×46.6×11.75mm and will support WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC.
OnePlus might also announce OnePlus Buds 4 TWS, and OnePlus Pad 2 Go during the event, but details about these two are still shrouded in mystery. Since the launch date has been confirmed, we will get to know about these devices soon.
