TL; DR
- OPPO and vivo are reportedly preparing Ultra flagships priced above 10,000 RMB in China, as per DCS.
- If these prices translate globally, Indian pricing could break the ₹2 lakh mark.
OPPO and vivo may be preparing a significant jump in flagship pricing next year. According to information shared by Digital Chat Station, both brands are working on Ultra smartphones that will cross the 10,000 RMB price point in China, which is a significant jump from the current 7,000 RMB price point.

This price hike could have major implications for markets like India. The vivo X300 Ultra already retails at around ₹1.6 lakh, while the OPPO Find X9 Ultra is priced close to ₹1.7 lakh. If this leak is true, their successors could break the ₹2 lakh mark once taxes and regional pricing adjustments are factored in.
vivo X500 Ultra and OPPO Find X10 Ultra Specifications
The vivo X500 Ultra is rumored to feature three 200MP rear cameras, consisting of a 200MP 35mm main sensor, a 200MP ultra-wide, and a 200MP periscope telephoto. OPPO is expected to pursue a different approach with the Find X10 Ultra. The device is tipped to feature a 200MP primary camera, a 200MP 3X periscope telephoto camera, a 200MP/50MP ultra-wide, and a dedicated 50MP 10X super-telephoto lens.

Outside of cameras, both phones are expected to share several flagship specifications, including Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipsets, 2K displays measuring over 6.8 inches, batteries approaching 8,000 mAh, and 100MP selfie cameras.
Blame AI and the Soaring RAM Prices
The higher asking price appears to be tied largely to soaring RAM prices due to AI. Industry sources indicate that soaring memory prices have become one of the biggest challenges for smartphone makers. Memory costs have risen sharply and now account for a much larger share of a flagship phone’s bill of materials than before, in some cases surpassing the cost of the processor and display.

Both devices are currently expected to debut between March and April 2027. It is still early in the development cycle and specifications could change before launch, although flagship smartphone prices have consistently moved upward over the past few months, making a return to earlier pricing levels increasingly unlikely.
