TL; DR
- OPPO Find X9 series now supports AirDrop-style sharing via Quick Share, and it is working in India as well.
- You can send and receive files directly between OPPO phones and iPhone or Mac without any extra apps.
- The feature replaces the need for O+ Connect, with wider rollout expected across more OPPO devices soon.
OPPO’s Quick Share update with AirDrop compatibility is now live on the Find X9 series, and this includes India as well. Earlier announcements did mention rollout plans, including one for Japan a few days ago, though there wasn’t a clear confirmation for India at that point. Now it’s here, and it’s already working across devices.
You can send files from an OPPO phone to an iPhone or Mac, and also receive files the same way, without any setup beyond installing the March update that was rolled out earlier this month.
AirDrop via Quick Share started with the Pixel 10, then expanded to the Pixel 9 series and the Galaxy S26 lineup. Now, with OPPO joining in, cross-platform file sharing is starting to feel a lot easier. The feature is already rolling out on the Find X9 (review) and Find X9 Pro (review), so upcoming devices like the Find X9s and Find X9 Ultra should also support it.

How Does it Work?
I’ve tried this, and in actual use, the experience is pretty straightforward. You don’t need to install any third-party app on the iPhone or Mac. You just need to make sure that both the iPhone and your OPPO phone are set to the “Everyone” mode. And yes, file transfers work both ways directly through Quick Share.

This removes that extra step from OPPO’s earlier O+ Connect system, where iPhone users had to install a separate app just to send or receive files. That worked, though it wasn’t something most people wanted to deal with for “quick” sharing.
O+ Connect is still present and continues to handle other features like device linking, file access, and extended connectivity between OPPO devices and Macs. It still has its place for deeper integration, but for basic file transfers, Quick Share with AirDrop support now handles that part directly.
There are also early indications that Google could bring NFC-based touch sharing to Quick Share in the future. That would allow tap-to-share functionality similar to what O+ Connect already supports, which would complete the experience further.
This rollout is not expected to stay limited to the Find X9 lineup. Based on how quickly OPPO has been pushing updates, more devices across its portfolio are likely to get this feature over time.
