TL;DR
- Oppo executive Zhou Yibao confirms the Find X9 Ultra will pack a massive battery.
- Oppo’s new mantra appears to be “No 7000mAh, no flagship.”
- This follows the Find X9 Pro, which launched in India last month with a 7,500mAh cell.
Oppo’s next ultra-premium smartphone is doubling down on endurance. The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is now tipped to feature a battery significantly larger than 7,000mAh, according to a public hint from senior Oppo executive Zhou Yibao. This move would cement the device as a battery king among 2026 flagships.
“Unprecedentedly Strong” Responding to a user on Weibo, Zhou declined to give an exact milliamp-hour figure but confirmed the capacity would exceed 7,000mAh, describing the battery performance as “unprecedentedly strong.” This aligns with a leaked screenshot shared by tipster WhyLab.
For comparison, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra (released April 2025) featured a 6,100mAh cell. A jump to 7,000mAh+ represents a massive generational leap, likely powered by Oppo’s new Silicon-Carbon anode technology.

Oppo’s “Big Battery” Era Oppo has aggressively pushed battery boundaries in late 2025. The recently launched Find X9 Pro (review) already ships with a massive 7,500mAh battery and 80W charging. The company’s internal slogan—“No 7000mAh, no flagship”—suggests the Ultra model will not be left behind, though it has to balance this size with a massive camera array.
Find X9 Ultra Rumored Specs
- Display: 6.8-inch 2K LTPO OLED (3000 nits peak brightness)
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
- Cameras: Quad-camera setup led by a 200MP Sony LYT-901 sensor and dual periscope zooms.
- Charging: 100W Wired + 50W Wireless.

India Launch Outlook
With the Find X9 series already retailing in India (starting at Rs. 74,999), the Ultra is expected to arrive later in Q1 or Q2 2026. Given the Indian market’s demand for battery life, a 7,000mAh flagship would be a significant disruptor against the Galaxy S26 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
