I’ve been using the OPPO Reno14 Pro 5G for a few weeks now, and I think it’s a solid smartphone that tries to balance style, performance, cameras, and pretty much everything else. It’s got a lot going for it, like the gorgeous design, the sharp display, and a bunch of AI features, but it’s not without flaws. After spending time with it, here are my thoughts on what works, what doesn’t, and whether it’s worth your money in 2025. Let’s dive in.
OPPO Reno14 Pro Price & Availability
The OPPO Reno14 Pro 5G is priced at ₹49,999 for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant and ₹54,999 for the 12 GB RAM + 512 GB, available in Pearl White and Titanium Grey. You can find it on Flipkart, OPPO’s eStore, or other retailers. Current offers include a 10% bank discount and a ₹5,000 exchange bonus.

OPPO Reno14 Pro Review: Design and Build

The Reno14 Pro 5G looks and feels premium. The Pearl White variant has a cloudy accent around the triple camera array, and the Velvet Glass back shifts colors slightly under light. This can be best felt in person. The Titanium Grey option is more understated. At 7.48mm thin and 201 grams, it’s comfortable to hold, and the glass back is not even slippery, which is nice.
It’s got an aerospace-grade aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass 7i for added durability, backed by IP66/IP68/IP69 ratings. I did test it in the rain, and it held up fine, though I wouldn’t push the underwater photography mode too far without care. Yes, it does support that as well.

The flat 6.83” display has slim, almost even bezels, but the lack of an alert slider or shortcut button feels like a missed opportunity to me. The USB-C 2.0 port, dual SIM tray, IR blaster, and mics are well-placed, but USB-C 2.0 feels dated for a premium device. Nevertheless, it’s good to see NFC and 3 mics on this device.
Oh, and despite weighing 201 grams, it does not feel very heavy. This is possibly due to the weight distribution or the slimness of the device. Overall, I would rate the OPPO Reno14 Pro’s design a solid A+ for the price.
OPPO Reno14 Pro Review: Display

The display in the Reno14 Pro is no slouch either. It is a 6.83-inch LTPS OLED panel with a 1272 x 2800 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Everything looks sharp, and the colors are vivid without being oversaturated. It supports HDR10+ and offers 3840 Hz PWM dimming, so it is very easy on the eyes. Adaptive Tone adjusts colors based on your environment, and it works well.
Outdoor visibility is not a problem. The panel hits up to 1200 nits in HBM and maintains legibility even under direct sunlight. However, it does struggle with direct sunlight. The bezels are just 1.6mm thick on all sides, which enhances the viewing experience even more. Whether I was watching videos or editing photos, the Reno14 Pro’s display delivered consistently great results.
OPPO Reno14 Pro Review: Speakers and Haptics

The Reno14 Pro comes with dual stereo speakers. The output is loud and has a decent amount of bass. Watching videos is enjoyable, and the stereo separation is also quite good. However, it still falls slightly short of the flagship standard. You can make it even louder with the 300% volume boost, though at a loss of clarity.
The haptics are good but could have been tighter and more precise. Compared to OPPO’s own Find X8, the haptics on this device are just a step below. Devices like the OnePlus 13s have slightly better haptics.
OPPO Reno14 Pro Review: Software

ColorOS 15 on the Reno14 Pro is fast, fluid, and full of features. It comes with Trinity Engine and the Luminous Rendering Engine, which together ensure smooth multitasking and animations. Over the weeks, I haven’t noticed any slowdowns. OPPO promises 4 years of major Android updates and 5 years of security patches.

ColorOS 15 is beautiful and has got a lot of customization options for the lock screen, home screen, app icons, fonts, etc. It also has support for floating windows and Open Canvas, which is a 90:10 split screen mode—super useful feature.
AI Features
The OPPO Reno14 Pro probably has the best AI suite in the segment. One of my favorite features is AI Mind Space. It acts like a content repository where you can save articles, screenshots, or even tweets. You can swipe up with three fingers to save anything. It can even detect calendar events in screenshots and suggest adding them. I use it frequently.

There is also AI Search, which helps you find apps, files, or photos quickly, although it occasionally misses the mark. Other features include AI Eraser, AI Unblur, AI Reflection Remover, and AI Recompose. These tools work directly inside the Gallery app. AI Recompose gives multiple framing options, and Remove People works better than expected.

Circle to Search and Google Gemini are also integrated well. Gemini now supports voice input and even integrates with OPPO Notes, Calendar, and Clock. You can ask it to summarize articles or create calendar events.

The OPPO Reno14 Pro also brings the new Dialer app with exciting AI features. It records and transcribes calls, then creates a summary straight in the Notes app. The AI Call Translator handles real-time translation with subtitles or voice playback, and it’s surprisingly accurate.

Voice Enhancement cuts out background noise, while Stage Sound and Voice Focus keep audio clear in loud spots. Everything works smoothly and feels built-in, and it even supports Live Alerts for incoming and ongoing calls.
AI VoiceScribe is another powerful addition—it can transcribe calls and meetings, generate subtitles in real-time, and even translate conversations. I found this incredibly useful in multilingual environments. It works in any app—just activate it from the sidebar or the Quick Settings.
Then there is the AI Studio app, where you can generate AI portraits, reinagine photos with AI, and even generate short AI videos. Features like AI Portrait, AI Style Transfer, and AI Motion make creative edits fun and quick.

Of course, you also have the AI Notes, which lets you generate and reformat text in the Notes app. There’s also the AI Summary, AI Speak, AI Writer, and the AI Reply features available on the Reno14 Pro, all accessible via the sidebar.

The only downside is the presence of some bloatware. Apps like HotApps and HotGames are pre-installed, but they can be disabled. Overall, ColorOS 15 is a great experience and you will not be disappointed here.
OPPO Reno14 Pro Review: Biometrics

You get an under-display optical fingerprint scanner here. It is fast and reliable but sits slightly lower than I’d prefer. Face unlock is also available, although it is 2D and not as secure. Still, both options work well in daily use.
OPPO Reno14 Pro Review: Performance

The Reno14 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450, paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, not UFS 4.0. Still, in my usage, everything has been smooth—from heavy multitasking to casual gaming.
Synthetic Benchmarks

- AnTuTu v10: 1,626,660
- Geekbench 6 (CPU): Single-Core: 1,595; Multi-Core: 6,095
- Geekbench 6 (GPU): OpenCL: 11,783; Vulkan: 12,175
- AnTuTu v10 Storage Test: 145,660
- 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Test: Best Loop: 3,868; Lowest Loop: 3,132; Stability: 81%
Gaming and Day-to-Day Performance

Gaming is solid but not elite. Genshin Impact runs at 50-55 FPS on High settings, and BGMI maintains 85-90 FPS. The Nano Dual-Dive Cooling keeps temperatures below 38°C, and AI HyperBoost 2.0 optimizes frame rates.
AI LinkBoost 3.0 stabilizes connections in crowded Wi-Fi or weak signal areas, which should be helpful during travel or simply any place with a weak signal. There’s also the new Game Capture feature in the game bar that allows you to take live screenshots of the game or screen record a flashback of up to 30 seconds.
In daily use, the phone handles everything well. From document editing to Instagram reels to switching between heavy apps, the experience remains fluid. It doesn’t get hot either. Oh, and the RAM management here is excellent.
OPPO Reno14 Pro Review: Cameras

The Reno14 Pro packs four 50MP cameras: main, ultra-wide, 3.5X telephoto, and front. All cameras perform really well in most lighting conditions.
Main
The main sensor is the OV50E (1/1.55-inch, f/1.8, OIS). It captures vibrant, detailed images with good dynamic range. HDR is mostly reliable, although it occasionally struggles in extremely high-contrast situations.

Ultra-wide
The 50MP ultra-wide camera uses the OV50D (1/2.88-inch) with autofocus. It can double up for macro shots and does a solid job during the day. Low light images are decent, though there is some noise and chromatic aberration.

Periscope
The telephoto lens is a 50MP JN5 sensor with 3.5X zoom (85mm, f/2.8). It performs quite well in daylight and up to 10X digital zoom. Beyond that, AI enhancement steps in, and results become less natural. You can zoom up to 120X, though. The 30cm minimum focusing distance means you cannot use this for macros.

Portrait Mode
Portrait mode is available at 1X, 1.4X, 2X, and 3.5X zoom levels (you can even swipe to switch to say 2.2X or 1.6X in Portrait mode). Edge detection is mostly accurate (can be a miss at times), and skin tones look good, although sometimes slightly too warm. You also get soft-light filters like Misty, Glowing, and Dreamy.

There’s also AI Flash Photography here which allows you to use the flash when using the Portrait mode. AI Perfect Shot can help you take group photos with everyone’s eyes open with the help of AI. That’s a super useful feature.
Front Camera
The 50MP front camera (JN5, f/2.0, 21mm) with autofocus is excellent. Selfies are sharp, skin tones are usually accurate, and HDR works well. You can zoom from 0.8X to 2X, which is great for group shots or close-ups.

The OPPO Reno14 Pro also comes with Livephotos and now you can even use it with the Flash. OPPO calls it AI Flash Livephoto. The results are good and if you are unaware a livephoto captures 1.5 before and after you hit the shutter.
Videos
Video performance is solid. All rear and front cameras support 4K at 60 FPS with HDR. Ultra Steady mode is limited to 1080p on the front but can go up to 4K at 60 FPS on the rear cameras. Audio capture is excellent, thanks to OPPO’s 3-mic setup and Sound focus feature. Lens switching during video is smooth, although the 3.5X and beyond can introduce visible noise in low light.
Special Modes
You also have some special modes here, including Silhouette, Fireworks, and Stage modes. They work as their name suggests, and the Underwater Photography mode supports 4K in wet conditions. The built-in filters are great, my personal favorite being the Serenity one. No RAW support in Pro mode is a big letdown though.
Overall, I think the OPPO Reno14 Pro has done a great job with the cameras for its price. Things like the edge detection in the portrait mode and HDR inconsistencies need work but the overall camera experience is solid.
OPPO Reno14 Pro Review: Battery Life and Charging

The Reno14 Pro features a 6200 mAh battery, which is impressive given its slim profile. I averaged around 7.5 to 8.5 hours of screen-on time with heavy use, and over 10 hours with moderate usage. Standby drain is minimal.
It supports 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging. A full charge takes about 55 minutes. Wireless charging is perhaps the fastest in the segment.
OPPO has also included battery health algorithms to ensure long-term durability. According to the company, the battery is rated for 5 years of usage without major degradation.
Review Verdict: Should You Buy the OPPO Reno14 Pro?
The OPPO Reno14 Pro is not trying to be a flagship killer, and that is exactly what makes it so good. It focuses on the right things: a gorgeous design, solid performance, great battery life, good cameras, and useful AI tools for both productivity and photography.
There are a few things that could have been better. The haptics could use more refinement. The fingerprint scanner placement could be improved. And I really hope OPPO adds RAW capture support in Pro mode through an update.
But in the big picture, these are minor trade-offs. The Reno14 Pro is one of the most balanced smartphones in its segment. If you care about design, cameras, performance, battery life, and want a phone that delivers without compromises in the areas that matter, this is a device that is absolutely worth considering.
