Google has confirmed the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be unveiled on August 12 at its Made by Google event, and India is part of the first wave of markets getting it, alongside the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL. Pre-orders go live in India through Flipkart the same day the event kicks off.
Google has already put out an official teaser confirming the design, so this isn’t a case of pure speculation anymore, though the full spec sheet and India pricing are still leak territory until August 12. Here’s everything we know about the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold so far.
Design and Build
The teaser confirms the Pixel 11 Pro Fold keeps the square camera module Google has used across the Pixel lineup for a few generations now. What has changed is the camera housing itself. The flash and mic array now sit under the same glass as the camera lenses, giving the module a cleaner look instead of a separate cutout for the flash.
That same housing is also where HiLight (the new notification LED, more on this below) sits, and a leaked marketing image of the Fold specifically is what confirmed the feature’s name and design in the first place.
As for dimensions, they’re said to be nearly identical to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold at the top level (155.2 x 150.4mm unfolded), but with a genuine, if modest, diet. Unfolded thickness drops to 4.8mm (from 5.1mm), and folded thickness to 10.1mm (from 10.8mm). Weight is said to be 239g, which puts it slightly lighter than its predecessor. It is also expected to keep the same IP68 rating as its predecessor.
Display(s)
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is said to feature an 8-inch LTPO OLED inner display and a 6.4-inch OLED cover display, both running at 120Hz. Exact brightness and resolution figures for the Fold’s panels haven’t been leaked, but going by the rest of the Pixel 11 lineup (which tops out at 3,600 nits), a similarly bright pair of panels wouldn’t be a surprise.

Hardware
Under the hood, the headline change is the Tensor G6, Google’s first chip built on TSMC’s 2nm process, reportedly running a 7-core CPU with a single ARM C1-Ultra core clocked at 4.11GHz, paired with a PowerVR C-Series GPU instead of an ARM Immortalis unit (so raw gaming performance likely still trails Samsung and Apple’s silicon).
It’s joined by the Titan M3 security coprocessor. Some reports also point to a modem swap, from the Samsung Exynos modem used in prior Pixel Folds to a MediaTek M90, which, if accurate, could be the more consequential change for anyone who’s dealt with connectivity complaints on past Pixel foldables.
Meanwhile, RAM and storage are expected to top out the same as the Pixel 11 Pro XL: up to 16GB RAM with a 256GB/512GB/1TB storage ladder.
As for the battery, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is actually expected to pack a smaller 4,806 mAh battery (4,658 mAh typical), with 30W wired charging and Qi2 wireless charging support. Yes, that’s actually smaller than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s 5,015 mAh cell.
Cameras
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold sticks with a 48MP main camera, a 10.5MP ultrawide with macro focus, and a 10.8MP periscope telephoto camera offering 5X optical zoom and up to 30x Super Zoom. Selfies are handled by matching 10MP cameras (f/2.2 aperture, 87-degree field of view) on both the cover and inner displays.
In other words, the camera hardware is essentially carried over from the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Google appears to be holding the Fold back on the camera front once again, while other manufacturers continue to use larger sensors and periscope camera systems in their foldables, making them thinner, lighter, and packing larger batteries at the same time.

Software and AI
Expect Android 17 out of the box, deep Gemini integration, and the usual Pixel-exclusive AI tricks layered on top, likely extending features like AI-powered zoom processing and improved video stabilisation (some leaks mention 4K Cinematic Blur at 30fps, up from 1080p on the outgoing model) to the foldable form factor. Google’s also said to be pushing 8 years of guaranteed OS and security updates, consistent with its recent Pixel policy.
The standout new feature across the whole Pixel 11 line, though, isn’t camera-related at all. It’s HiLight, and the Fold gets it too. Officially confirmed via a leaked marketing image of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold itself (after months of being called “Pixel Glow”), HiLight is a small RGB LED embedded in the camera bar, replacing the temperature sensor spot from the Pixel 9 and 10 Pro.
It lights up in different colors when a favorite contact calls or when you’re mid-conversation with Gemini, letting you glance at a face-down phone instead of waking the screen. In other words, it’s a notification LED throwback dressed up in Gemini branding.
Colours and Availability
The Fold is tipped to launch in two colourways, Midnight Haze and Pine. Pre-orders open in India via Flipkart on August 12, the same day as the global event. That said, based on how Google has staggered Pixel Fold launches in the past, expect a pre-order window followed by retail stock landing weeks later (likely into October) instead of instant shipping.
Price and Availability
Nothing’s official yet, and India pricing estimates vary fairly widely across sources, ranging from around ₹1,89,000 right up to ₹1,99,990 for the base variant, with US pricing leaks pointing to a $1,899 starting price (roughly a $100 hike over the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, if accurate).
