TL; DR
  • First and foremost, the Watch 4 will be available in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm; both with an Actua 360 screen that is capable of reaching a peak brightness of 3,000 nits (similar to the Galaxy Watch 8).
  • Pixel Watch 4’s 41mm variant should last up to 30 hours, while the 45mm variant should provide 40 hours of usage time between charges, and that too, with the always-on display enabled.
  • Like the Galaxy Watch 8, the next Google smartwatch will let buyers raise their wrist and talk to the Gemini AI voice assistant (for personalized help).

Ahead of the Pixel 10 launch event scheduled for August 20, 2025, renowned tipster Evan Blass has leaked the key specifications of the Pixel Watch 4.

Expected to debut alongside the new Pixel smartphone lineup, the smartwatch is the direct successor to the Pixel Watch 3 (released in 2024), and Google’s answer to Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8, fighting for the title of the best flagship wearable for Android users.

Pixel Watch 4 Specifications (Leaked)

Evan seems to have got his hands on the promotional material for Google’s upcoming smartwatch, and it looks quite authentic in my opinion.

Screen

First and foremost, the Watch 4 will be available in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm; both with an Actua 360 screen that is capable of reaching a peak brightness of 3,000 nits (similar to the Galaxy Watch 8).

This is a significant upgrade from the current screen on the Pixel Watch 3, which maxes out at 2,000 nits. It will improve the smartwatch’s legibility under direct sunlight.

Battery Life

Per the specifications page shared by the tipster, Pixel Watch 4’s 41mm variant should last up to 30 hours, while the 45mm variant should provide 40 hours of usage time between charges, and that too, with the always-on display enabled.

This is a major upgrade over the 24-hour battery life offered with the Pixel Watch 3. Given that the current-generation wearable can last up to 36 hours in Battery Saver mode, I expect the Pixel Watch 4 to last even more with the mode enabled.

Pixel Watch 4 Specifications (Leaked)

In addition to the battery life, the Pixel Watch 4 should charge 25% faster with the new Quick Charge Dock (spotted in leaks).

Fitness Tracking

Besides the regular ECG, SpO2, breath rate, and HRV monitoring, the Pixel Watch 4 will provide 40+ exercise modes, along with “real-time stats,” whether you’re ready for a tough workout or need to prioritize recovery, and let you build custom run plans.

In addition to the fitness-tracking features, the Pixel Watch 4 will also provide safety features like Loss of Pulse, alerting trusted contacts if the user feels unsafe, and hard fall detection (along with a notification to the emergency services).

As long as we’re talking about the features, the upcoming smartwatch will feature dual-frequency GPS, which is generally considered more accurate than the single-band GPS on the Watch 3.

Gemini Integration

Google might market the Pixel Watch 4 as the “watch built for Gemini.” Like the Galaxy Watch 8, the next Google smartwatch will let buyers raise their wrist and talk to Gemini AI voice assistant (for personalized help), keep the conversation going with contextually-aware AI text suggestions, and cross-app functionality (such as asking Gemini to create a 10-minute-mile run playlist).

Colors & LTE Deal

While the 41mm Pixel Watch 4 will be available in four colors: gray, blue, porcelain, and green, the 45mm variant will be available in three colors: gray, dark blue, and porcelain.

In the United States, getting a Pixel Watch 4 (LTE) variant will get buyers two years of data on Google (for free). That’s a lot of information about the smartwatch, and we’re excited to see its Indian pricing post the official announcement.
