We finally have a launch date for the second generation of Poco and this time, it’s coming from the official source. The day is Tuesday, May 12, announced Poco Global through its Twitter handle. Xiaomi has pushed out the media invites too.

Update (May 8, 2020): Poco F2 Pro phone name and May 12 launch date have now been officially confirmed.

We expect more than one phone, this time around. So far, we have heard of devices from Poco F2 and Poco M2 umbrella. Now, the rumor has it that the M2 lineup could be rebranded F2 phones for India.

Anyway, the fresh scoop of news is related to the Poco F2 Pro pricing.

Poco F2 Pro rumored pricing

There are multiple reports of the Poco F2 Pro pricing circulating on the web. However, they don’t share parity. For instance, earlier, we had gathered the 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage model will arrive at EUR 649 (about Rs. 53,300) and 8GB+ 256GB variant for EUR 749 (around Rs, 61,600). But, then there is this new report that claims the 128GB variant will be priced at EUR 570 (roughly Rs. 46,800).

Poco F2 Pro is said to launch in four color options viz. Blue, Grey, Purple, and White. Now, if you recall, this shares semblance with the Redmi K30 Pro.

Source: Gearbest

Not just that, a recent Gearbest listing of an upcoming Poco phone shares the K30 Pro design elements. So, we have reasons to believe Poco F2 might very well be a rehashed Redmi K30 Pro.

But then, Poco India GM C Manmohan had earlier stated that the Redmi K30 Pro is not the Poco F2 and that the latter will be a different phone altogether.

The details are hazy and hearsay for now. Hence, until stronger evidence comes to the fore, we suggest you consume these details with a grain of salt.
