TL; DR
  • Xiaomi launches TV S Mini LED series in India on April 15, 2026.
  • Mini LED with local dimming improves brightness and contrast while reducing light bleed.
  • Positioned as an ecosystem hub, competing with Samsung and LG.

Xiaomi India has confirmed that the TV S Mini LED series will go official in the country on April 15, 2026.

The entire range runs on the company’s Quantum MagiQ display technology, which combines reliable Mini LED backlighting with local dimming to provide better control over brightness and contrast. The series will be available in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch sizes.

Unlike conventional LED TVs, Mini LED panels use smaller light sources, which allows for a more granular dimming control, resulting in brighter peaks, darker blacks, and considerably less light bleed.

How Does This Fit Into Xiaomi’s Bigger India Strategy?

Furthermore, Xiaomi is positioning the TV S Mini LED series as the centerpiece of its connected home ecosystem. In other words, it should provide plenty of ecosystem features that work with Xiaomi smartphones, tablets, and other compatible smart home devices.

The series should be available via both Amazon and Flipkart, as the microsites of the product are already live on both e-commerce platforms. Xiaomi’s entry into the Mini LED TV segment could be a good signal for the market, which is largely dominated by manufacturers like Samsung and LG.

If Xiaomi could price the smart TV lineup aggressively, it could end up taking a bite from the market leaders’ share and compel them to respond faster than they would have planned otherwise.
