Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Poco is gearing up to launch the Poco F6 series globally around May. Per a new leak, the company will release two handsets in the series – the Poco F6 and the Poco F6 Pro. These phones will take after the Poco F5 lineup released in 2023, providing flagship-tier performance at a relatively affordable price.

Poco F6 Pro Gets Certified By NBTC

According to a report by notebookcheck.net, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has got the Poco F6 Pro certified by Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). Usually, manufacturers go for these regulatory certifications in the final stages of product development. Hence, the appearance of Poco F6 Pro on the NBTC suggests an impending launch.

Poco F6 Pro Or Redmi K70?

Per the certification site, the handset carries the number number “23113RKC6G.” Interestingly, this is similar to the model number of the Redmi K70, which came out in China last year. From what it looks like, the Poco F6 Pro could be a rebadged version of the Redmi K70. Previously, Poco released the Redmi K60 as the Poco F5 Pro. Like the Poco F6 Pro, the regular Poco F6 could be the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13 Turbo.

Redmi K70 Specifications And Chinese Price

Given the Redmi K70 is already available in China, we have a fair idea of the phone’s specifications. For instance, it has a 6.67-inch OLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,000 nits. Under the hood, the handset runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. However, whether the Poco F6 Pro comes with similar storage and RAM options isn’t unknown.

The smartphone also features a 50MP (f/1.6) primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. Connectivity options on the Redmi K70 include Wi-Fi 7, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port. Last but not least, the smartphone features a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging. Regarding the price, the Redmi K70 starts at CNY 2,499 in China, which is about Rs. 29,000 in Indian currency.
