Poco Phone With Model Number M2006C3MI appears on BIS website

Poco fans would be happy to know that a new Poco phone could debut in India soon. How do we know? Well, a phone Poco branded phone with model number M2006C3MI has been spotted on Bureau of Indian Standards website for BIS certification. This does point towards a possible launch in India.

Interestingly the model number M2006C3MI is the same a the Redmi 9C which was launched in China last month. In 2020, Poco as a brand has been accused of rebranding Redmi phones. The upcoming Poco phone could very well be a rebranded Redmi 9C device.

Apart from the BIS website, the same Poco phone with model number M2006C3MI TUV Rheinland website as well. The listings do not reveal much about the phone’s innards or exterior.

Poco’s latest offering in India – the Poco M2 Pro specs-sheet is a carbon copy of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. At the time of Poco M2 Pro launch, several Poco fans questioned the move. If Poco indeed decides to launch a rebranded version of the Redmi 9C in India it is highly unlikely that fans will mind it Xiaomi is yet to bring it to India. The picture will only clear with time as more information appears on the internet in the coming days.
