With two smartphones in its portfolio, Poco is now venturing in accessories space and will soon launch its True Wireless Earbuds (TWS). The company launched its first phone, Poco F1, under Xiaomi and then launched Poco X2 under a separate brand identity.

Poco made the new announcement via a tweet from its official handle.

Taking to Twitter, Poco India has clearly stated that the company is working on ‘True Wireless In-Ears’. Further, no more details about the feature of these Poco earbuds were revealed.

The other sub-brands of Xiaomi, like Mi and Redmi, have launched true wireless earbuds exclusively in China. In fact, Xiaomi has really done well in luring consumers in the mid-range segment of wired and wireless earphones. The upcoming Poco Buds might very well be the rebranded Mi or Redmi TWS.

Earlier, the Poco’s General Manager, C. Manmohan ran a poll on Twitter asking the followers what other tech products Poco should launch apart from smartphones. Given the options of TWS (Earbuds), headphones, fitness band/watch, and gamepad; a majority of Poco fans voted for earbuds.

True Wireless Earbuds are extremely popular because of the convenience they offer. Since there is a lot of consumer interest in this area, many manufacturers are actively working on improving the quality of such earbuds and also on making them more affordable.

The day Realme had launched its Realme Buds Air in India, we were eagerly waiting for Xiaomi to step in. But it’s Poco that has stepped in. Realme could soon join in with the second-gen option.

The company hasn’t said much about features, pricing, and launch date, but we do expect these to be priced competitively.
