At its Ecosystem Product Launch event, Xiaomi has unveiled a new pair of TWS earbuds called Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic. It is a rebranded Mi AirDots 2 SE which had debuted in China earlier this year. But, the real kicker is that this might arrive in India under the Poco branding. It could be the so-called Poco Pop Buds.

So, if that excites you, follow to know the specs and other details.

Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic Features

Although the buds look like the original Mi True Wireless Earphones 2, the charging cradle has a distinct design. It is cuboidal in shape and even the bedding is different (as you can see in the above images).

Similarities creep inside the TWS buds too with 14.2mm dynamic drivers, just as the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2. On the codec front, you get AAC support.

They are equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 and should work with almost any Android and iOS devices. But, they work the best with Xiaomi’s own smartphones. This is true right from the get-go as they will auto-connect with Xiaomi phones as soon as you tap open the case.

Amongst the set of features, you get wear detection, touch controls on the stem to manage calls, music, and phone’s voice assistant.

Finally, they claim to stick around for up to five hours of music playback and a total of 20 hours along with the juice from the case. There is a USB-C port on the cradle.

Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic: Price and Availability

Xiaomi has launched the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic in Europe at 39.99 euros (~₹3,435). Now rounding back to the rumor, this could come to India under the Poco Pop Buds moniker.
