Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Specifications

Snapdragon 665, 730 and 730G

This new SD 665 bears Samsung’s 11nm LPP process and thus we could expect an improvement in its performance from its predecessor. It thrives on Kryo 260 (A73) cores and four Kryo 260 (A53), each with a clock speed of 2.0GHz and 1.8GHz respectively.

Another notable upgrade is in the GPU performance. The new Adreno 512 that features Vulkan 1.1, which saves 20% in power consumption. You could enjoy better audio courtesy of Surround sound powered by Qualcomm aptX Adaptive Audio and Qualcomm Aqstic Audio Technology.

This is the first 8nm chip from Qualcomm. It packs a dual-core Kryo 470 (A76) + six-core Kryo 470 (A55) CPUs. They could bolt to faster clock speeds of 2.2GHz and 1.8GHz respectively. So, you could see an overall performance boost by 35% which place it above the Snapdragon 710 as well as the Snapdragon 675.

The chipset houses Adreno 618 GPU, an X15 LTE modem, and support for Wi-Fi 6. Yet again, AI takes the limelight with Qualcomm’s fourth-gen AI engine coupled with integrated Hexagon 688 DSP, and Qualcomm’s tensor accelerator for machine learning.

Overall speaking, the American multinational semiconductor maker claims a two-fold leap in performance.
