Xiaomi To Launch A Snapdragon 730 Phone In India Soon

Redmi India recently unveiled its youth-centered Redmi Y3 and the budget-friendly Redmi 7 in India. While the market is getting ready with their imminent launch alongside a slew of reviews and comparison articles, Xiaomi is all set to extend the range with a new phone. Manu Jain, M.D of Xiaomi India shared the news via his twitter handle this afternoon. He clearly indicates the phone to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 700-series chip.

Breaking news indeed Mr. Manu and we do expect something wonderful from Xiaomi India. The news comes close on the heels of Realme 3 Pro launch, a phone that’s powered by Snapdragon 710 and retails for the same price as Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Xiaomi New Phone: What to Expect?

The recent Qualcomm chipsets to launch were- Snapdragon 730 and 730G SoC alongside 665 SoC. In today’s tweet, Mr. Manu holds ambiguity while announcing that the new Xiaomi phone would arrive engined by the latest Snapdragon 700 series. He hasn’t mentioned the chipset variant specifically, though.

While the twins feature similar spec sheet, the latter is engineered for gaming smartphones with enhanced AI capabilities. It also boasts higher GPU frequency, True HDR video capability, better WiFi Latency, WiFi-6 compatibility, all of which results in a 25% surge in gaming performance.

We could also expect the phone to sport Full HD+ display, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 and Quick Charge 3.0 as well.

Now the name of the new phone, tech community is on toes waiting for the next iteration of Mi A series. Ergo, we could give Mi A3, a safe guess! At the moment, the company is yet to reveal any more details on the new Android phone. Speaking of Android, if its Mi A3, Android One OS is a no-brainer, right?

We will keep you posted on the latest news on this 700 series Xiaomi phone. We are also expecting Poco F2, which if we go by the rumors could be running on Snapdragon 855 chipset.
