Snapdragon 7 Gen 2: Leaks & Rumors

Although Qualcomm has not confirmed anything about this new 7th-generation chipset, a few leaks that have surfaced online tell us more about it. Tipster Roland Quandt has revealed that the company is all set to launch the Snapdragon SM7475 chipset which could be named Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 or Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1.

The new chipset will have a tri-cluster design with one Prime core, 3 Gold cores, and 4 Silver cores. The Prime core will have a clock speed of 2.4GHz whereas the Gold cores will have a peak clock speed of 2.36GHz. The Silver cores are expected to be clocked at 1.8GHz. The chipset might make use of new core designs and is likely to feature Cortex A715 for the Prime and Gold cores, whereas the Silver cores could use Cortex A510.

The chipset might come with a 5 to 10% performance upgrade over its predecessor. No other details about the upcoming 7th Generation chipset are available at the moment.
