On the front, all the phones feature a punch-hole screen with symmetrical bezels on all sides. It is the Find X9 that seems to have the thinnest bezels of all, and, therefore, the highest screen-to-body ratio.

On the back, the realme GT 8 Pro features a removable camera cover, giving it a slight edge in customization over rivals. By default, it comes with the circular camera module, but you can use the screwdriver provided in the box to unscrew the module and replace it with the decorative camera cover set provided with the phone.

The OnePlus 15 and the Find X9 have a rather similar rear panel. Both feature a square-shaped camera module with rounded edges. Of the three, the Find X9 is the slimmest and lightest, while the OnePlus 15 has the best IP rating. While the GT 8 Pro and Find X9 use Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the front, the OnePlus 15 uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The realme GT 8 Pro and the OnePlus 15 have a similar, big-phone form factor, while the Find X9 is a tad smaller (and could be more comfortable to carry around for some users).

The realme GT 8 Pro, with its 6.79-inch screen, is the biggest phone in this comparison, even a tad bigger than the 6.78-inch OnePlus 15. While both the handsets feature an LTPO AMOLED screen that supports variable refresh rate, the OnePlus 15 goes up to 165Hz in select video games, but the GT 8 Pro maxes out at 144Hz (still pretty good). The Find X9, on the other hand, features an LTPS panel that supports a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.

Coming to the resolution, the realme GT 8 Pro offers the sharpest screen of them all, and it’s also the brightest. It also supports the highest PWM dimming rate, making the screen more comfortable on your eyes. So, yes, the realme GT 8 Pro ticks the most boxes, but the OnePlus 15 and the Find X9 still have a unique appeal with the highest refresh rate and a relatively compact screen, respectively.

The realme GT 8 Pro and the OnePlus 15 have one thing in common: they both use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (3nm) SoC. The chipset features an octa-core CPU with two 4.60 GHz prime cores, the Adreno 840 GPU (with hardware accelerated raytracing), the Hexgaon NPU for handling on-device AI processing, and UFs 4.1 storage.

However, there’s a difference in the type of memory the phones use. The realme GT 8 Pro features up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, while the OnePlus 15 features up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra+ RAM, the fastest in the segment. Even so, both the phones use UFS 4.1 storage, which is more efficient and reliable than the UFS 4.0 storage type used on the 2024 flagships. Furthermore, both the phones also include a co-processing unit (HyperVision+ AI chip on the realme GT 8 Pro and G2 gaming network chip on the OnePlus 15) for improving gaming performance.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is currently among the most powerful chipsets on a commercially available smartphones, implying that it can handle everything you can possibly do on a smartphone. This includes all the creative stuff such as editing and rendering 4K videos, color grading photos, or playing the most demanding video games on the highest settings. As mentioned in our thorough review of the devices, both of them perform really well under sustained loads, especially when it comes to controlling the temperature from rising beyond optimal limits (thanks to the built-in vapor chambers).

The Find X9, on the other hand, sports the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 (3nm) SoC, which also features an octa-core CPU with a 4.21 GHz prime core, the Arm G1-Ultra GPU, and the NPU 990. Altogether, the components provide top-notch performance. The phone can handle everything you can throw at it, just like the other two phones, but it is every-so-slightly behind in terms of peak performance (due to the difference in the prime cores’ clock speed), and, consequently, the benchmark scores.

It is worth mentioning here that only the OnePlus 15 supports Battlegrounds Mobile India and Call of Duty: Mobile at 165fps, while the other two phones max out at 120fps. So, if competitive or ultra-responsive gaming is your priority, the OnePlus 15 could be a good option. This doesn’t mean that the other phones don’t perform extremely well during gaming.

Out of the box, the GT 8 Pro runs on realme UI 7.0, which offers a Light Glass design inspired by Apple’s Liquid Glass design, a misty glass control center, Flux Themes 2.0, AI Notify Brief, AI Framing Master, and AI Gaming Coach.

The OnePlus 15, in contrast, runs on OxgenOS 16. Its key features include new clock styles, more icon and widget sizes for home screen, Flux Themes 2.0, a cleaner notification interface, and smoother animations. There’s a new feature called Mind Assistant, which lives and breathes in Mind Space and helps you search saved content. Other AI-based features include Doc Scanner and AI Productivity Suite.

The Find X9 comes equipped with ColorOS 16, which also offers Mind Space, AI Recorder, AI Portrait Glow, and AI Scan. The user interface also provides smoother animations and Motion Cues to reduce motion sickness. It is worth mentioning that the Find X9 is the only phone that will get five years of operating system and six years of security updates.

Hence, if longevity is your requirement, the Find X9 provides a clear edge over the other two phones. However, if you’ve previously used a realme UI or a OxygenOS phone, you might want to switch to a phone with a familiar user interface.

All the phones include a 50MP primary camera, but the sensor on the Find X9 is the biggest among all. In other words, it should provide better low-light performance, higher background blur, and more details. While the GT 8 Pro and the OnePlus 15 support 8K30 video recording, the Find X9 is limited to 4K120.

For the smartphone photography enthusiasts, the GT 8 Pro features not only the highest-resolution zoom camera, but the biggest sensor of them all. As a result, it should, in theory, provide more detailed shots at highe zoom levels, such as at 6x or 10x. However, beyond that, it is the computational pipeline that takes over. Hence, expect to see rather similar results from all the phones at the highest — 120x — zoom level.

When it comes to the ultrawide cameras, the Find X9 has the biggest sensor with the widest field of view. While the camera on the handset features autofocus (similar to the OnePlus 15), realme GT 8 Pro’s ultrawide camera lacks the ability. All the phones have a similar selfie camera, but only the one on the OnePlus 15 has an autofocus.

All the companies have exclusive partnerships for their imaging pipeline and exclusive camera features. The realme GT 8 Pro, for instance, partnered with Ricoh Imaging and also includes dedicated GR Mode with quick shutter response and support for two full-frame-equivalent focal lengths. The OnePlus 15 comes with the DetailMax Engine that fine-tunes images captures with the relatively smaller but equally capable camera sensors. Meanwhile, Oppo retains its partnership with Hasselblad.

Lucky for you, we’ve reviewed the cameras of all the phones in this comparison. You can browse through an expansive library of pictures clicked in different scenarios and make up your mind.

This is an aspect where the OnePlus 15 truly redeems itself, other than raw performance. With its 7,300 mAh battery, the phone can provide around 11 to 12 hours of screen-on time with light to moderate usage. Further, the phone charges up to 100% in around 45 minutes with the 120W charger provided in the box.

Even though the Find X9 has a slightly smaller 7,025 mAh battery, it still provides over 11 hours of screen-on time with mixed usage and takes around an hour for a complete charge (since it comes with a relatively slower charger). The realme GT 8 Pro also provides between 10 and 12 hours of screen-on time, and charges in around 45 minutes.

It’s good that all the phones have been launched at roughly the same price in India, meaning the latest smartphone technology, especially from manufacturers that prefer Android, is more accessible. Among these, the realme GT 8 Pro seems to offer the best value for your money, especially with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and the 200MP telephoto camera. However, the other two phones aren’t too far apart in price.

realme GT 8 Pro vs. OnePlus 15 vs. Find X9: Verdict

realme GT 8 Pro

The realme GT 8 Pro seems to offer the strongest all-round value in this comparison. You get the Qualcomm chipset, the sharpest and brightest display, the highest PWM dimming, and the most versatile zoom camera with its 200MP optical zoom sensor. If raw performance and superior camera hardware is your priority, especially the zoom sensor, you can’t go wrong with the realme GT 8 Pro. The customizable rear acmera module could also be a point of attraction for some buyers.

OnePlus 15

The OnePlus 15 stands out for users who prioritisze gaming responsiveness, clean software, and battery life. It is the only phone in the comparison that supports 165fps gaming in popular titles, features LPDDR5X Ultra+ RAM, the fastest in the lot, and OxygenOS 16 continues to offer one of the smoothest, most refined UI experiences. The massice 7,300 mAh battery life should also tip the scales in its favor, as a phone that lasts aroudn two days on a single charge.

Oppo Find X9

Find X9

The Find X9 is for buyers who prefer a relatively smaller form factor, a powerful chipset, but don’t want to compromise on the versatility of the camera setup. Yes, the realme GT 8 Pro features a 200MP telephoto camera, but the Find X9 features a better primary and ultrawide camera. Further, the company also maintains its partnership with Hasselblad, which could benefit users with the fine color tuning and dedicated camera features. Finally, the phone will also get the longest software support of all the phones in this comparison.
