TL; DR
  • Pricing for the realme P4 Pro has leaked via tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore on Twitter (now X), starting at ₹24,999 for the base variant without offers, ahead of the August 20 launch.
  • realme’s CMO Francis Wong also pre-announced the P4’s starting price at ₹17,499.
  • He emphasized specs like a 7,000 mAh battery and AI features for the realme P4.
  • realme had extended its software update policy to 3 major Android OS upgrades and 4 years of security patches for several models earlier this week, including the upcoming P4 series, 15 series, select 14 series devices, and P3 lineup.

realme has been aggressively teasing its upcoming realme P4 and realme P4 Pro smartphones, positioning them as value-packed contenders in the mid-range market. Set to launch on August 20, 2025, these devices will benefit from realme’s enhanced software support policy, offering 3 major Android OS updates and 4 years of security patches.

This extended commitment builds on recent updates to other lineups: the entire realme 15 series (including 15 Pro and 15), select 14 series models like the 14 Pro+14 Pro14T, as well as the P3 series encompassing the P3P3 Pro, and P3 Ultra, all now under the same 3+4 policy.

realme P4 Pro Pricing Leaked; Starts at ₹24,999 Without Offers

Leaks and official teases have added to the buzz around the P4 Pro. Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore revealed pricing on Twitter (now X), indicating the P4 Pro will start at ₹24,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, ₹26,999 for 8GB + 256GB, and ₹28,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, all without any introductory offers.

The realme P4 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and a 6.8-inch 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate. It will sport a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony IMX896 sensor with OIS, alongside a 50MP front camera.

Details on the secondary camera are scarce but we assume that it’s going to be an 8MP shooter. The realme P4 will pack a 7,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging. It will also come with a dedicated HyperVision AI Chip that will further optimize imaging and gaming performance.

Meanwhile, realme P4 Officially Announced Ahead of Launch

Breaking away from tradition, realme’s CMO Francis Wong announced the P4’s starting price on the same platform well before the official launch, setting it at ₹17,499. Wong emphasized skipping “boring” reveals, instead promising real-world demos on launch day to highlight AI enhancements enabled by the HyperVision AI Chip.

The realme P4 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display running at 144 Hz. Its camera system will include a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens, with 4K video recording supported. And just like its elder sibling, it’ll pack a 7,000 mAh battery with 80W charging. It will also come with a dedicated HyperVision AI Chip.

Thoughts on the realme P4 series

realme P4

The realme P4 series looks like a solid deal at ₹17,499 and ₹24,999. The pricing is good, and with launch offers, it’s likely to drop by at least ₹1,000 to ₹2,000, making it an even better value. If the Pro model does ship with UFS 3.1 storage, that would further strengthen its case in this price segment.

Add to that realme’s new 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches, and the package becomes quite compelling for mid-range buyers. What do you think? Does the P4 series deliver enough for the price? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
