Continuing with its aggressive march in India, Oppo’s online offshoot Realme will soon launch the first Helio P70 powered smartphone as part of a new ‘U’ series – the Realme U1. The handset will retail exclusively on Amazon India and the company has already started rolling out invites for the November 28 Launch.

Will MediaTek Helio P70 be a notable improvement?

Mediatek’s Helio P70 is a slight upgrade to Helio P60 that powered the Realme 1. It’s based on the same 12nm process and uses the same core architecture, but the performance cores and GPU are now clocked at slightly higher frequencies.

Going by official claims, the Mali G72 MP3 GPU on Helio P70 is 13 percent faster and has been “optimized to reduce frame-rate jitter and improve latency for touch controls and display visuals for a smooth, fluid gaming experience”. Changes made to the APU (which is MediaTek’s term for NPU) will make P70 10-30% faster in executing AI tasks.

The Helio P70 won’t make a world of difference when compared to Helio P60, but it’s still a very competent chipset and perfectly adequate for affordable phones.

Other than that, selfie-centric U1 will have a dew-drop notch – just as the Realme 2 Pro.

We don’t have anything more to share about Realme U1 Specifications as of now, but we will be keeping our ears to the ground and will update you with more info as it surfaces.

Realme U1 Price In India

The company recently hiked prices of Realme C1 and Realme 2 giving in to the pressure of falling Rupee. So, we don’t expect U1 to have a surprisingly aggressive price tag, but we are guessing it will still be cheaper than Snapdragon 660 Realme 2 Pro.
