The competition between Redmi and Realme is intensifying with the passing days. While on the one hand, Realme is all set to roll out the 240W charging technology, on the other hand, it seems like Redmi is not going to leave a stone unturned to outclass the competition. Redmi has made an official announcement regarding the launch of 300W fast charging tech. As claimed by the company, the device will get fully fueled up to 100% in just 5 minutes.

Not only this, but the company has also shared a promotional video that consists of an enhanced Redmi Note 12 Discovery Explorer Edition along with a 4100mAh battery. The handset got charged up to 50% in 2 minutes and 11 seconds and got completely charged in 5 minutes. A major highlight from the video shared by Xiaomi is that the device was only able to clock 290W charging speed, instead of 300W, only for 3 seconds in the whole span.

The Redmi 300W fast charging technology is going to be the fastest charging solution available in the market, followed by Realme’s 240W fast charging tech solution. The on paper Max speed of the charging tech will be 300W, and the power of the same has been restricted in the teaser video, citing safety reasons. Even after getting so much power, the charger of the same has a small size.

As of now, neither Xiaomi nor Redmi has revealed the launch date of the device that will ship with the 300W fast charging tech. Speculations are that the 300W fast charging tech solution will first make its entrance in China, and then the same will be released on the global level and in India too. Rumours have it that the first phone to get the tech will be from the Redmi Note series. We can get to know more about the tech and the device as soon as Xiaomi makes an official announcement.
