Redmi Note 12 5G key specs officially teased; checked details

Xiaomi is soon going to release the Redmi Note 12 5G series in India. The series will consist of three smartphones – Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note Pro+ 5G. The scheduled date of the launch is January 5, and the regular and high-end will be exclusively available via Amazon. On the other hand, the mid-level variant, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, will be available on Flipkart.

As of now, Amazon has also created a micro-site on which the details of the upcoming smartphones are being shared. In a recent development, it has been revealed on the microsite that the device will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. The latest teaser hints that the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 12 5G will be similar to the Chinese variant of the smartphone.

Redmi Note 12 5G specifications and features

According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 12 5G Indian variant will get Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor based on the 6nm process. The chipset has 2 Cortex A78 cores with a clock speed of 2GHz. Not only this, but the microsite has also confirmed that the device will be shipped with an AMOLED display with a punch hole cutout at the top middle for the placement of the front camera. Speculations are that the handset will also get a high refresh rate coupled with FHD+ resolution.

The Redmi Note 12 5G could sport a triple rear camera system comprising a 48Mp primary shooter, a 2MP depth shooter, and a tertiary shooter. The device will get multiple RAM and storage variants – 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128 storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. It will be available in three different colour variants, including black, blue, and white. For the purpose of security, the smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Another confirmed thing about the device is that it will support 33W fast charging.
