Xiaomi has began teasing Redmi Note 9 launch in India. Officially, Redmi Note 9 was introduced globally on April 30 alongside Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max. The latter two devices had already made it to India while Redmi Note 9, the most affordable of the three, is still in the queue.

Taking on Twitter, the Chinese manufacturer announced the arrival of a new Redmi device to India, without revealing the name. Though we are quite sure for it to be Redmi Note 9. The highlights of the Xiaomi’s global version Note 9 are 6.53-inch display, Helio G85 chipset, quad-rear camera, 5020mAh battery, and more.

Redmi Note 9 Features

Redmi Note 9 has a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. The screen has a punch-hole cutout to house a 13MP selfie camera. The rear camera includes four sensors comprising a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 9 bags a 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 processor coupled with Mali-G52 graphics. The phone offers 3GB and 4GB RAM options along with 64GB and 128GB internal storage, respectively, expandable up to 512GB via a dedicated slot. Note 9 has MIUI 11 skin based on the Android 10 operating system.

Globally launched Redmi Note 9

Redmi Note 9 draws the power from a 5020mAh battery which supports an 18W fast charging. The phone ships with dual 4G standby, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, IR blaster, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm jack for connectivity.

Redmi Note 9 Price and Availability

The Redmi Note 9 is priced at $199 (roughly Rs. 15, 000) for 3+64GB and $249 (roughly Rs. 18, 700) for 4+128GB variant. However, we expect a low price from Xiaomi when launched in India. As the upcoming Redmi smartphone has got a dedicated page on Amazon India, that’s where it will be available for purchase.
