After releasing the Galaxy S24 series in January 2024, the Korean tech giant is now eyeing the premium mid-range market with its Galaxy A series installments. The Galaxy A55 5G and the Galaxy A35 5G have been in the news for a while but with limited information. However, a new report leaks the entire spec list of the Galaxy A55 5G, along with the expected release date and price.

Galaxy A55 5G And Galaxy A35 5G Expected Release Date

According to a report by Winfuture.de, the Samsung Galaxy A55, along with the Galaxy A35, will debut in Germany on March 11, 2024. The Indian launch date of the smartphone should also coincide with the global debut, given the success of the A series phones in the region. In the past, Samsung released the Galaxy A53 5G on March 17, 2022, and the Galaxy A54 5G on March 15, 2023. Hence, the mid-March date seems about right.

Galaxy A55 5G Entire Specifications

The report also leaks the entire spec list of the A55 5G. Starting with the display, the smartphone could come with a 6.5-inch FHD+ sAMOLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, the handset could run on the Exynos 1480 SoC with an AMD GPU. Regarding RAM and storage, the A55 5G’s base variants should ship in a 6/128GB configuration, while the top-end variant should feature 8/256GB.

Apart from this, the Galaxy A55 5G could come with a 50MP (f/1.8) primary camera with OIS, a 12MP (f/2.2) ultrawide sensor, and a 5MP macro shooter. On the front, users should get a 32MP selfie shooter. Powering the smartphone is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W fast wired charging. Other smartphone features include an IP67 water and dust resistance rating, stereo speakers, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Galaxy A55 5G Expected Price

The base variant of the Galaxy A55 could cost EUR 450 (about Rs. 40,000 ), while the top-end variant could cost around EUR 500 (about Rs. 45,000).

The Galaxy A35 5G, on the other hand, could feature a slightly less powered Exynos 1380 SoC, along with two RAM/storage configurations. However, that is the extent of information available about the smartphone. Recently, a tipster also shared the promotional materials of upcoming Galaxy A series smartphones, revealing the color options that might be available during launch.
