Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A70 at its “A Galaxy Event” earlier this week without disclosing its price and availability. It seems the Galaxy A70 is now heading towards India as Samsung India went live with its microsite today. It fits well with Samsung’s plans of launching new products under the Galaxy A-series banner every month in 2019. The microsite clearly lists Samsung Galaxy A70 with 6GB RAM and 128GB.
Though all key specifications of the Galaxy A70 find a place on the microsite, Samsung on purpose held back its India price and launch date. In 2019 Samsung has been on a launch spree and has launched more than a handful of smartphones this year. In this week alone Samsung announced Galaxy A80, A70, A20, and Galaxy A20e.

The new phone is a step above Galaxy A50 (review) in terms of specs and features. The A70 flaunts a similar 3D glasstic designs with a bigger Infinity-U display. The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen supports FHD+ (2400×1080) resolution. There is an optical fingerprint sensor placed beneath the Galaxy A70 screen.
The Galaxy A70 rocks a Snapdragon 675 SoC which is the same chip that powers the popular Redmi Note 7 Pro (review). As per the Samsung India microsite, the Galaxy A70 is to come with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with microSD card support up to 512GB. It is worth mentioning that Samsung could introduce the Galaxy A70 in India in other memory and storage configurations as well.
The rear panel of the Galaxy A70 is adorned with triple camera setup including a 32MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5MP depth camera. For selfies, A70 has a 32MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. Another noteworthy feature of the Galaxy A70 is its massive 4,500mAh battery which supports 25W fast charging via USB Type-C. The phone runs One UI based on Android Pie software.

Samsung at the global launch refrained itself from mentioning the Galaxy A70 price,. However, its official eShop in China today revealed its price. The Galaxy A70 6GB RAM variant is available for pre-orders with a price tag of CNY 2,999 which roughly translate to Rs 31,000. Considering the competitiveness of the Indian market, Samsung is likely to keep the Galaxy A70 India price under Rs 30,000.
