Samsung Galaxy A70 is now official in India within a week of its global unveiling. Interestingly enough, this one runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset and not the in-house Exynos chip. It flaunts Infinity-U AMOLED display and packs powerful hardware under the hood.

The company claims to have sold 2 million Galaxy A phones in India within 40 days of launch. So, let’s see what the new phone has to offer to carry forward this stride.

Samsung Galaxy A70 Features

The Galaxy A70 will be one rung above the Galaxy A50 (review) on the A-series ladder.

Samsung Galaxy A70 sports a similar 3D Glasstic design with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ Infinity-U display. You get an optical under-display fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone. The phone runs on Samsung’s latest OneUI based on Android 9.0 Pie, out of the box.

The phone is helmed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, which is the same chipset powering the Redmi Note 7 Pro (review). This is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage expandable via dedicated microSD card slot up to 512GB. You also get a beefier 4,500mAh battery that supports 25W Super-Fast Charging technology.

The optics department also looks promising with a 32MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5MP depth camera. Well, upfront the Infinity-U cutout houses a 32MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The camera app packs neat enhancements and features such as Scene Optimizer, AR Emoji and Selfie Focus.

Other noteworthy features include Samsung Pay, Widevine L1 certification for HD video streaming, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port.
